SPaying interest itself becomes irregular when the account itself is irregular. Rest let OP clarify the case.SReread.
Pension was stopped but there was still interest paid into the account. Recovering the interest is the normal procedure for irregular accounts.
SThe officials won’t be getting a share of what they are recovering from the woman but if they are caught in audit sometime in the future that the women had two accounts and the officials did not take any action despite knowing about it then the excess money paid to the woman will be recovered from the officials. What’s it for IB?SFor sensitive government departments, all your immediate relatives will be screened. Siblings, parents, spouse, in laws, spouse’s siblings is the bare minimum. In fact you have to give all their details even before you get selected.. including passport details, foreign residence if any etc. , There is a Special Security Questionnaire for these things.SThis is the right way.. all of the people here I just saying it’s a scam blindly.OP’s brother got selected in ISRO ffs .. they won’t just hire him without a go ahead from IB obviously.
SIt’s the IB .. they can’t directly say that so they use “Ministry of Home Affairs” or “Special Branch”.SThis is probably the intelligence bureau and they are not likely to reveal their email address to OPSIt does work that way because this is probably an informal investigation into the “character” of the selected person by the Intelligence Bureau.I know it because it happened to me too.
