SSome are known to take a cut from the amount awarded even though they are not supposed to take a percentage.
Some even ask for a percentage from real estate deals.
SLegally you can make an argument for not granting alimony if the women is earning, also by law it has to be paid to the spouse (not man or woman specifically) who needs support.Practically there are many factors that skew the outcome towards women getting alimony even when not required.

SThe lawyer and women are both complicit criminals here, the lawyer does not get a free pass, they are not 2 year old kids either.SI would write my facts and responses and send to lawyer; they will discuss and remove or add any points or edit my points in legal language, make corrections as required. confirm the final draft with me and then I sign before they present it in court.SThat advice is best from a lawyer. SUsually it is the name that is present in aadhar, pan or other valid documents. Not a lawyer, but may need the name as in the marriage certificate for this case. Best to confirm with a lawyer. Lawyer asked me for Aadhar and marriage certificate for court. For men it is all same so not sure which one is used.
