March 31, 2025 at 6:26 amAs a common citizen, if you have to think twice before involving police when you’re wronged, you then have to question the design of the system.BodyCams, accountable escalation, time bound actions, cctv monitored zones for public dealings are all great measures, but will system allow this ?
Right now, there is not enough agitation within the country to call for a change, we have adjusted to the fact that police is not for us, not unless the matter reaches a critical point, we haven’t had a chance to live in a lawful society ever, hence any marginal gain feels like a big win ( read zero FIR, central control room).

When you hold money you hold some opinion.2. Free bus service – to encourage their mobility – access to jobs / healthcare and of course savings (point 1)
3. Reservation of seats and coach – to provide safety during travel from men that won’t leave a chance to make her uncomfortable.
I don’t think so this sub is the right place for this rant, but anyhow the whole premise is too weak. India is doing what it can to increase woman participation in the mainstream, and I for one believe positive reinforcement is a good way to go about it, the financials of it, However, is a whole another debate.
