April 28, 2025 at 4:38 pmNALYou don’t owe him anything. He is trying to demand and coerce for sexual favours.
Refer Sections 75 and 78 of the BNS (Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita), 2023:
a) https://devgan.in/bns/section/75/
b) https://devgan.in/bns/index.php?q=78&a=10Do not be scared. You have done nothing wrong and he really has nothing on you. Surround yourself with people who care for you and do tell them. Take other safety precautions such as sharing your Google Maps location with a trusted person.
As to the question of money he voluntarily given, a person can issue legal notice and then file a civil suit – considering the quantum of money, unless this person has good connects, he might end up spending more money and time for recovery.
So, you could very well ignore him, assuming he does not pose a security threat.
Take care and all the best!

April 26, 2025 at 3:11 amNALYou could check your society’s bye-laws carefully. Then, submit a written complaint to the society’s officers along with history of the matter and your claim / request.
If you have a report of the thermal scanning and audit – that should be helpful. Additionally, you could have written statements from any mason / etc. who is known well in society and can confirm the situation and solution as you’ve stated.
Evidence could either be attached along with the Complaint or be presented at the Society’s Management meeting – if you are close with any member of Society’s management committee, do seek their guidance.
Regarding what option (for claim on prior costs and additional costs for repair) – maybe discuss with Society Committee member. I think Option 2 is better and fair.
Having a written complaint and compilation of evidence would help establish a documentation trail to escalate the matter, if needed.
Lawyer can better advice on involvement of independent expert (Chartered Civil Engineer), statements from mason on ‘affidavit’ and how the complain should be drafted.
Also, if the neighbour fails to comply with Society Committee’s directive / orders, you can check the Competent Authority for escalation. For example, see here: https://mysocietyclub.com/bye-laws/maharashtra-cooperative-housing-society-bye-laws/member-complaints

April 25, 2025 at 10:00 pmNALNot sure how your friend thinks that you owe him anything. I don’t see any contract arising, specially as to sale of merchandise fit for specific purpose.
If you have received your money, be cool about it. Also, if your friend is in the US, definitely read about USA’s stand on Bringing in Cuban goods and/or cigars into the United States: https://www.helpspanish.cbp.gov/s/article/Article-1389?language=en_US

April 25, 2025 at 9:26 pmNALCheck what dependencies you have on her / the house. You mentioned documents – start securing them (digital copies such as both sided scans of marksheets, etc.). You can say that employer has asked for this (and, yes, some indeed do ask for a very thorough documentation). In case not, think how you could secure duplicate copies – e.g. filing an e-complain/e-FIR with Police for loss of documents, undertaking and issuance of duplicates by institutions.
I don’t think she can do anything against you legally – an adult could very well pack their bags and live separately.
You gotta be strong mentally and emotionally – don’t be affected by familial and/or social pressure/warnings/threats/blackmails/gaslights, etc.
And, maybe, think of this as a strategy game.. like, Shawshank Redemption.
Not sure if you are taking therapy or not, but would def. recommend that for your emotional healing.
Be brave as you are and all the best!
