April 13, 2026 at 5:31 amThis is can potentially be called a dark pattern and you can in theory argue it in a court successfully, however the time and effort required for this won’t really justify any compensation you might get.April 28, 2025 at 12:01 pm in reply to: Bangalore Landlord asking to replace his 10 year old washing machine with a new one #6529SSuperhero5250

April 11, 2025 at 10:01 amJust a few weeks back I drafted a consumer complaint which to my knowledge has been filed for in-person contest, around 10 days back.So far it is pending for ‘scrutiny’.
You are correct in your assessment that the owner might budge, but for that try the National Consumer Helpline and see if it works.

April 11, 2025 at 9:40 amUnless you have a written agreement with the gym that clearly mentions the timeline for payment, I’d say you don’t have a strong case.The harrasment that they have caused to you can technically be made a ground for a consumer complaint, but unless you are going to fight it out personally, hiring a lawyer will incur expenses much higher than your gym membership itself.
I’d recommend that you sort it out without a formal consumer complaint.

April 11, 2025 at 8:21 amSeniors are generally hired for some crucial stages and are very expensive. Examples being getting a stay or final hearings.What you make in a month will get you one appearance and a conference.
Use a senior strategically after consultation with your main lawyer.

April 8, 2025 at 5:32 am>the owner of the vehicle would also have to attend court or hire a lawyerIn most TP cases the owner does not mark his presence with no consequences.
>a warrant may be issued for their arrest
Though a court can issue a warrant, I have never seen it happen.
>if the claim of the accident exceeds the insurance coverage
TP coverage, to my knowledge, is unlimited.
That said, it is a singularly bad idea to let any one buy a vehicle in your name. If i were OP, I would politely decline.

Just to give you an idea, contested divorces are so emotionally draining that even many practising lawyers stay away from a family law practice.

April 1, 2025 at 4:31 pmThe thing that first comes to mind is Transfer of property act.55. Rights and liabilities of buyer and seller.β
In the absence of a contract to the contrary, the buyer and the seller of immoveable property respectively are subject to the liabilities, and have the rights, mentioned in the rules next following, or such of them as are applicable to the property sold:β(1)The seller is boundβ(a)to disclose to the buyer any material defect in the property or in the sellerβs title thereto of which the seller is, and the buyer is not, aware, and which the buyer could not with ordinary care discover;
>my elderly grandfather hanged himself here 4 years ago
Now this, to my mind, is not a material ‘defect’.

March 18, 2025 at 10:53 amVery little can be done in this regard without spending either a significant sum of money or a significant amount of time and effort. Even then the chances of success are bleak.You can theoretically approach the consumer forum, emphasis on theoretically, and make some headlines as a customer who took zepto to court for 75 paise and try to draw attention to their ‘malpractice’.
