Seems fake. Try to ignore it. See if it escalates.

Tell your father to tell them that you won’t break the wall and if you’re pressured, you will take back the share of land which you provided.

Husbands cannot spend stree dhan. Some laws and judgements should be there.

If she’s being forced, she can take legal action and claim her 60L back. She can also live separately.

If someone does something illegal to someone else and the other person doesn’t have any proof of it, then I don’t know how the other person gets justice.

Also, if a person can do something illegal to the other person and sees that there isn’t any action from the other side, then he may do something illegal again, and again.

I heard that tenants can drag landlords to court and keep living for free till the court order. Not sure about businesses.

According to your logic, your hand is your property. If someone chops it off, it’s your responsibility that you lost it and weren’t taking care of it.

When people don’t try to sue, things like these happen with everyone. If someone wants to fight this, let him do it.

Can’t move on from 7 lakhs.

People earn money by spending their life and giving up their comfort. That’s why we call it ‘khoon paseene ki kamai’.

If I was in your place, I would’ve taken the not-giving-up route.

Remember, if you take help from some goon, they can be easily bought by your uncle as he holds the cash, not you. Whatever you give to the goon, your uncle can give more because it’s free money for him.

Someone in such a situation could do something like this:
                      1. Talk to the uncle personally with 3-4 recording devices on. Let there be anger and all. Let him spit all the truth out on recording.
                      2. If he collected that money recently from your house or shared household, maybe you’ll be able to file an FIR of theft against him. Remember, police also takes a cut.
                      3. Or maybe with the recording, you can go to magistrate court with a lawyer, and request for an FIR and monitoring of investigation. Mother’s victim card can be played there.
                      4. If some trusted goon is there, the better. Otherwise you or your friends with a car and good planning, may be able to pull something off to get your money back.

Note: I’m not a lawyer. Everything I say here is fictional. It’s not any advice or suggestion.

If there’s no fault of the truck driver, he’s arrested only for 2 things:

                            1. Publicity for police, whitewashing image.

                            2. To extort money from the driver.

How will they pay ? From society fund ? Or will the society president personally pay ? Or will he collect money from other owners for a police bribe ?

                                  According to my knowledge:
If things go south, divorce and alimony will be the least of your worries. The divorce package comes with domestic violence and dowry case. Maybe a few more, I’m NAL.

                                  1. Transferring FDs should be fine if done long before marriage. Take at least 1 year. 2-3 years, the better. Should not look like you transferred because of marriage.

                                  2. Your share in the apartment won’t matter. If your wife lives in the same apartment, she can claim entitlement for the matrimonial home. Most likely, you and your parents will be kicked out of the house due to the DV case or you’ll need to live in a rented apartment with your wife for 4-5 years until you both understand each other.

                                  3. No such document mentioning anything regarding no dowry or jewellery is valid in Indian courts. The best you could do is to have proof that the locker belonged to her and only she had access to it, maybe linked to her bank account or something.
