Article 19 grants Freedom of Expression, but thanks to the fuckery by Nehru before the first election, there are “reasonable” restrictions in the name of national security, integrity, public order, friendly relationship with other countries, and so on.

In practice, this means a complaint can be filed on you for “hurting sentiments” if you say something some fucker find offensive. Now how the compliant plays out depends on the police (if they are competent or corrupt)…and if the police is bad, then your fate depends on the judiciary as at this stage you will have a FIR.

Does that mean everyone gets jailed? Nope. But the law is so bad that a politician in power can easily send you to jail.

Sorry but you are ignorant of ground realities.

Parents often file cases on their daughter’s boyfriend (kidnapping, ra*e, blackmail, harassment, etc) and police do register FIR.

Now in a sane world FIR should get quashed easily, but sadly this is India.

You will need luck because if your investigation officer is corrupt or lazy, you are going to spend a considerable amount of time and money to get relief.

Stamp paper is sold at MRP.

If you are going to get it typed… they will charge you for convenience (100 to 300… depends on your bargaining abilities).

Notary is also at cost (say 100 for 100) but some might charge you extra.

So your total cost can be between 200 to 500.

Agree. He can claim to court that the judgement was passed without hearing him or other involved parties

Depends actually. If the alleged reviews were made before the enforcement of BNS, then yes IPC is valid.

Regardless, whether it’s IPC or BNS, the case won’t really stand in court. Though the company can force the reviewers to waste money and time
