UPlease help. They’re now falsely accusing me of being a fraud and saying they have friends in NDTV and that they’ll post a false blog about me that I knew that this was a glitch and I’m trying to scam them. I told them that their harassments and threats have made me change my mind because I don’t want to ruin my career for a few thousand bucks, and that I don’t want any refund. But they insist on doing such things.UPlease help. If I send a legal notice demanding 1 lakh and saying or else I’ll file consumer court case, then they might just file a whole FIR against me right?UAs I’ve mentioned in the post, there is no such clause stating they can terminate a booking at all. Also, in the name of security deposit, I have totally paid an amount of Rs7900 to them. I made them come and pickup the car in front of my security guards, post which they’re not refunding me anything at all. Returned it because I cannot risk having an FIR against me at this age. They were also abusing me and calling me things like ‘bastard.’
I sent them a mail asking for refund as well. I think I should not wait for National Consumer Helpline’s attempts at mediation, and directly go ahead and file a consumer court case before they change their terms and conditions saying that they can terminate a booking whenever they want.
UThey’re actually a really small rental company with only a handful of cars and an office the size of a household kitchen.UI’m asking for full refund but they are not agreeing. They are telling that I have to still pay Rs 3000, and to go all the way there and return it.UThey wouldn’t risk being charged under IPC Section 182, since there is no evidence at all of me doing such absurd things.
