Do one thing. Sign up a cheque, but before you hand them the cheque, go to your bank and put a Stop Payment on your cheque. Once its put on a cheque, nobody (even you) can encash the cheque. I have dealt with a Delhi recruiter the same way. If the company is legit, they will never use the cheque. For the scammers, you have your defense.
