January 13, 2025 at 5:17 pmAdvocate here,ยPeople go without formalities that’s not an issue, but these are basic documents, i.e., rental receipts (which are to be duly signed by either landlord or appointed agent), rental agreements, and even bank details and acknowledgements are to be provided that all form an important part of the transaction.ย
If you have entered into a tenancy through an agent, ask the same from him. A copy of the rental receipt or rental agreement may be asked for, that must not be disputed in any manner.
It is a pity thing, but provisions are stated under the law.

January 13, 2025 at 2:37 pmThis seems like general advice.Your 10th marksheet shall be of utmost priority, fill in your mother’s name as per the 10th marksheet.
If you are applying for further studies, the same MAY cause few difficulties, otherwise, you’ll face no problems. Ask the authority before any advancements you make, sometimes an affidavit works.
This is not an issue that has to be handled proactively, so no need to worry and rush.
By the way, changing names in the documents is a long and tiring process, especially for 10th and 12th. It is easier for universities comparatively.
