I am from IITK. We have a facebook group of alums and also a whatsapp group. Also since your mamu has such an excellent educational background, use it where it will be valued, ask him to post on LinkedIn. His post will soon gain traction and people will be very helpful. Let me know if my advice helps, I will be glad if it does. If possible send me the link to any public post you or her makes. All the best.

Try to seek help from IIT Kgp alums. Find alumni WhatsApp groups or Facebook groups. You might find good help as many of them would be influential people.
