The bribery thing is very far fetched.
There are other simpler ways to find someone’s call logs.

Airtel app bring one.

Also there was this sms you have to send to 121 with some code phrase and an email address, which will return all the call logs to the given email.
She could’ve used that trick. (i dont exactly remember the phrase to send but yes this exist)

If you have an iPhone you can just press # and the entire thing will be skipped.
