Service and maintaince is always in tenants scope… He gave it to you in working condition, and its not that it got non working within days… You used it for 8 months…

File a case against the bank, ask them for a refund!

Do u have a video recording or photos of the time you moved in ? Or does he have it?…
How are you or him going to prove the condition of the house before you took possession in front of arbritator ?
.. See understand one thing, you should have some valid proof if you go legal… Lawyers will certainly push you for their fees, but you should have some solid proof…

Not a lawyer, but don’t provide them with the pre-wedding shoot photos and videos…
You may initiat a civil suit, but be ready for a 5 year battle Atleast.even court asks for signed documents or a contract.

There is no way a small business can protect itself, law takes a long long time.
