VIt wasn’t her fault. He came out of a gate and hit the car from the side. The back door area got swipped. His day was ruined by his own actions. I didnt know the car was hit from the side and that too rear part. He bumped into her.VMy point is why should one have to pay when there is insurance available. Asking 3500 flat was weird.
My car was hit in the parking and had to be repaired. Estimates were 11000 which got covered by the insurance.
How is it fair to make a person shell out money for this.
VJust curious about the 3rd option. Is there any crime that can be reported ?
She didn’t flee the scene (was there for 20 mins). He kept demanding money instead.

My wife is scared because he threatened to go and file a police complaint. She and I also are a bit worried about dealing with cops unnecessarily. Is there any legal stand that he has ? I have comp. Insurance and it can easily cover the damages. According to photos . It is a small scratch. It shouldn’t cost more than 3000 rupees to fix.
