VUnless you are from a family with sufficient connections, there is nothing you can do to get your things back other than requesting her which seems unlikely to work and may even backfire on you.
NAL but in regards to the cases, as a women of India she can file a number of fake cases, including but not limited to
1. Molestation
2. Rape/Attempted Rape
3. Harassment
4. Violence against a womanEither one of this will land you in jail where you will be at the mercy of our slow judicial system and cops looking to mint money.
Even without filing a case she can simply post on social media and you would be painted as the villan by the society.
My advise would be to count your blessing that you only lost money and carry on living wiser.
VLegally nothing can be done. What you can do is try to understand his reasoning, like if it’s related to the course, college or location of your choice, then you can find middle ground or if it’s financial issues, then there are low interest education loans that can be paid back after your course when you get a job.VIf you have already paid the difference amount then not sure if there is anything for the seller to demand.Also coming to the threat, it looks more like a bluff than something they would follow through with.

If it’s positive, then you can simply ask them to approach her parents as if it’s an arranged marriage. If there are no caste issues it should easily work out since you have are doing well in your career too.VReturns are a hassle generally and customer service just follows SOPs even when you try to explain the scenario to be an exceptional one. You will just need to be patient. Fortunately, amazon is one of the few that gives a better experience to it’s customers during returns.
I had a similar issue but in my case the item was a low value one, so I didn’t really bother to follow up everytime. After a couple of days when I saw the item was still not picked up – all due to delays or cancellations from the pickup company, I raised another complain. This time a customer executive from Amazon called me and after verifying the details again simply just refunded the amount. No one ever came to pick up that item either.
Though as I mentioned it all might have been because the item was low value.
