Maximum police can do for you is take your complaint as a petition and summon the counter party.

March 20, 2025 at 5:36 amThey are delaying it for bribe.If no one has a caste certificate in family then concerned patwari/village assistant will do a spot panchnama in the village, take statements of neighbors and relatives and prepare a report that he indeed belongs to the caste he claims. Based on that the caste certificate will be issued.
Better to approach citizen service Centre kiosks, they will get it done.

March 19, 2025 at 5:57 amAt max you can submit the complaint with senior officers who can take disciplinary action but still the cops can defend themselves stating their action as mistake of fact.However if injuries are severe, then even an FIR can be filed on those cops.

March 15, 2025 at 5:34 amYes, you can still file an FIR.Visit the concerned police station and apprise them of the situation. Request them to help you out. If you are lucky, it may happen without any delay but if police is hand in gloves with builder then approach the SP/DCP.
