I think you should stay lowkey, do not reach to police and enquire mostly they have forgotten but if u reach and enquire them, theyll see you nervous and ask for bribe for an already closed and weak case. Not a lawyer, lawyers please correct me if im wrong.

Don’t go alone take your bf along, take any other elder person along if possible ( any non judgmental didi/bhaiya/teachers ) it’s completely legal you don’t need a guardian but feels safe if your have one also you can dodge unnecessary indian problems just by having someone experience with you if not possible atleast keep someone in loop, don’t worry take care 😅
