April 24, 2025 at 2:24 amThe police car may not have own damage insurance and your insurer will probably not pay for third party damage without a complaint. If the police vehicle didn’t have valid third party insurance, you do have some leverage. You could file a complaint against the Alto driver and the police, but , unless you have concrete proof like CCTV footage, it is your word against the ACP. If you don’t have the appetite for a long court battle, you might want to think about settling the matter.

April 24, 2025 at 12:12 amIn 2005 , Hindu Succession Act was amended and one of the key changes was removal of the doctrine of survivorship. Property is now inherited based on Section 6/Section 8.If your grandfather died on or after Sep 9, 2005, the property inherited by your father would be considered his separate property.

April 22, 2025 at 4:15 pmLegally, the owner is liable. Your uncle can try going to Lok Adalat or whatever it is called where you live and tell the judge a sob story. He may or may not give you a break. If the PUC expired only a few days ago your chances are better.April 22, 2025 at 4:12 pm in reply to: Got a challan for outdated PUC of car, any way i can not pay it #9796AAlphabro1965

April 22, 2025 at 1:35 amI am talking about the criminal sections. In a criminal case, the OP will be a defendant and the State will be the prosecutor. The insurance company will not be involved directly. The other guy is just a complainant and witness. He doesn’t have to pay the public prosecutor for a criminal case.April 21, 2025 at 9:52 am in reply to: My father got violent after I said I want to study abroad. April 21, 2025 at 9:41 amNo, I am not a lawyer, but i have mostly been quite successful in most of my endeavours and I may know more about the law than many self proclaimed Supreme Court lawyers, especially those who don’t seem to have any actual clients and solicit them on social media. The onus of proving that she is not capable of supporting herself is on the petitioner. Do you know the respondent will not point out that she is the prime of her life and her recent highly paid job demonstrates that she is capable of supporting herself if she chooses to ? Do you think any court will award her maintenance without considering this question ?
As for ancestral property, yes, the heir’s right to inherit it gets established at birth, but which law allows her to file a partition suit while her father is still alive ?

April 21, 2025 at 9:23 amGiven that OP recently had a high paying job and is, presumably, physically and mentally healthy, it would be difficult for her to make the case that she is incapable of supporting herself.OP has the right to inherit from her father’s ancestral property on his death, but she cannot ask for it while he is alive.

April 21, 2025 at 6:35 amThat is after they have tracked the proceeds of crime to that account. The funds frozen are usually those of secondary or tertiary receipts who were involved in crypto transactions etc. It would be days, if not weeks or months, after the crime. No scammer is going to leave funds in an account the victim transferred to for more than a few minutes. -
