You cannot deposit those cheques, as they are valid only for three months from the date of issue. Your next step is to send a legal notice through an advocate. If he still fails to repay, you will need to file a summary suit for recovery of the money.

        Advocate here,

I practice in Maharashtra. The average cost cannot be determined, as it varies based on the advocate’s experience, the value of the suit, and other factors.

          Advocate here,

First, file a complaint on the cybercrime [Portal](https://cybercrime.gov.in) immediately. Then, visit the nearest cyber cell and provide them with all the details. They will freeze the accounts where the money was transferred and register an FIR. Once the funds are traced and frozen, you’ll need an advocate to file an application before the court to obtain an order for the money to be remitted back to your account.

You can no longer file a complaint for cheque bounce, as it must be done within the prescribed time frame. Now you still have the option to file a civil suit for the recovery of money. Yes, you can appear as a party in person if you understand the law and legal procedures.

                Advocate here,

I don’t understand what kind of lawyer you consulted or what arrangement you had with him that led you to give him 8K.

The procedure for filing a cheque bounce case is quite straightforward. You must send a legal notice within 30 days from the date of dishonor, giving the drawer 15 days to make the payment. If they fail to do so, you must file private complaint before the appropriate court within the next 30 days and not police station.

                  Advocate here,

Go for a Mutual Consent Divorce with a Settlement Clause. The divorce petition should clearly mention that all disputes are settled and that she will withdraw any pending cases.

Since 498A is a non-compoundable offense, it cannot be withdrawn directly. For that, you will have to apply for quashing.

Consult an advocate; they will guide you based on the facts and circumstances of your case.

                    Advocate here,

Don’t bother with these so-called “legal advice” apps and websites they’re a joke. Most of them are just glorified middlemen charging you to connect with random lawyers who give copy-paste answers. They’ll happily take your money while providing useless, generic advice that won’t hold up in a real dispute. If you’re serious about your land case, visit a lawyer in person instead of wasting time and cash on these scams.

Firstly, you don’t need legal advice here.

Just from the way you’ve written this, it’s clear that you’re mentally unwell. Your post is riddled with persecutory delusions, disorganized thought processes, grandiosity, hypervigilance, lack of insight, religious fixation, auditory/perceptual distortions, social dysfunction, and isolation, which are signs of paranoid schizophrenia or a severe delusional disorder.

My suggestion is to visit a psychiatrist on your own and consult with multiple doctors alone that way, if you believe your parents might influence them, this concern is eliminated. Start with the treatment.

                        Advocate here,

Hire an advocate and file a property return application under Section 503 of the BNSS in the appropriate court.

Depending on the charges framed against them, if they are also booked under MCOCA or relevant provisions depending on the state, it will be much more difficult for them to secure bail, and the final disposal can take at least 2-3 years.

Visit a stamp vendor near you. You will usually find a typist and a notary public at the same location. You can get everything done there for around ₹300-500.

Look, either you’re conveniently leaving out key details and just trying to secure the property for yourself, or your grandfather is dodging this whole thing because he doesn’t actually want to hand it over to you. Either way, something feels off here.

                                  Advocate here,

Advise your grandfather to consult an advocate to draft his will, ensure its proper execution, and have it registered before the sub-registrar in the presence of two witnesses.
