      Not without external help.

I don’t know the facts of your case but one of my friends was arrested on allegations of murder of a person found dead in his room, he was also unconscious when the police arrived. He claimed he didn’t know how she died. Neighbour gave a statement that there was a lot of screaming happening in my friends room. He was arrested / beaten up for 6 days while the police awaited the autopsy report. The report concluded that the lady died because of rupture of stomach ulcers. He was let go without any lawyer being involved.

Don’t even think of paying that car owner anything. Better to spend some money on a good lawyer (the current one seems to be a scammer). Put all of this on Twitter and tag Zoom Car. Write detailed letters, create a paper trail. Don’t engage with the owner going forward. Only engage with Zoom car.

Was there any medical report which stated that the accident was due to your medical condition or only your statement without any proof?

The only way you can save yourself is by getting the FIR quashed. Once it’s quashed you can initiate proceedings to get your name deleted from Google /bing search engines. It won’t be deleted from the Police website and its database.

You can file some action, but the amount of time and money you will spend won’t justify the end result. Also, I am not sure, if you would have a good case to begin with if they show that you violated their T&C. As someone else said, its not worth it.

FYI – I have also been banned from some subs. On introspection, I realised that I should not have said what I said. I was always careful about what I say on social media, but I let th emotions get the best of me on one occasion. Now I try not get carried away by my emotions wrt something which some stranger has said on social media. Ignore and move on. I have other stressful things in life and can’t afford to add something so stupid as “ban from reddit sub” to the list of things that stress me.

              FYI – I am a lawyer.

Nuisance value. He is looking to get some money out of this knowing that once he has claimed title to the property, anyone who would want to purchase it from you, will be deterred and you will not be able to sell the property.

I am just wondering what have you filed to challenge his claim? Was there a need to do it?

He has a very bad case, but such suits take awfully long time to get decided, and that is what he is counting on, for you to come forward and settle the matter, where he gets some money.

Flawed logic buddy! Stray cats and dogs are – stray, no rules governing them. Pets are kept inside the house and taken out for walks. Car parking – well, is meant to park cars. So yea, society can legally object to it. Take the calf home for a week and see if changes your perspective on things.

Also, I believe this is a shit post, but have nonetheless tried to give you some advice.

I don’t know if you are a lawyer, but when someone is seeking legal advice, lawyers have have to give ‘legal advice ‘ and should not go into morality of the actions of the client. Well, I personally don’t like sqatters as I am a landlord myself, but this will not stop me from advising tenants on how to protect themselves from eviction, if they have grounds for the same.

Unfortunately that’s what I signed up for when I joined this profession.

                        +1

best is not to disclose that your grandfather was a caretaker or dispute it if they bring it up. State that initially rent was paid but your grandfather stopped paying and the possession has been adverse since decades.

I don’t know what you have already told the guys who visited you, but going forward don’t engage with them or discuss how you got possession or maintain the stand that it’s been adverse since before the owner passed away. Don’t take the stand that your were taking care of her or were a caretaker etc. or that she allowed you to stay rent free in lieu of grandfather taking care of her etc. It will all boil down to what evidence is being led.

Depends on what the order says. It can go to legal aid cell or some other body or to the other party.

                            1. He is not your friend. He is a conman, a cheat and a low life.
                            2. Do you have any whatsapp messages, regular message of the whole payment to him and him agreeing to repay you?
                            3. Did you withdraw the money and pay him or was the cash lying with you? Have you disclosed it in the ITR? Can you give source of the cash if asked for? Or can you make up some legally valid story for having so much cash?
                            4. As others suggested, you may have some issues with the IT department.
                            5. Did he message you when he sent the money by bank transfer? Nobody randomly transfers 12 lakhs to someone.

Don’t give in. He may try to give it a criminal angle. Involve a decent lawyer. Record all his calls and keep creating records denying everything. Get your other friends involved and ask them to get the truth out from him, if possible, record it. I am just thinking out loud what can be done…

                            Anyway good luck.

Well if it’s bothering you so much, you can push for it and see how far it goes. Legally speaking you should be entitled to a copy of it. I don’t see any reason why you can’t have a copy of it, unless you have signed something to the contrary.

IMO this is not something that you should be aggressive about. I cannot say how you will be viewed at after aggressively pushing for it in a company that you would be joining.

But if you are a man of principles, please go ahead and let them know that you are not the guy who will take BS.

Having signed this, you can’t do anything now. This will be thrown in your face if you go legal. Find some data retrieving services to check if any data can be recovered. They can be expensive though.

Dude, you need to go to an actual lawyer and give him all documents pertaining to this, share holder agreement, AOA, any JV agreement… Too many things to consider. Going by the bare minimum facts, you seem to have a decent case of oppression/ mismanagement against the other side, not to mention there may be some breach of contract as well and case for damages/compensation as well.

Have seen many cases like this. At the end parties come to the table to settle.
