April 14, 2025 at 10:28 amRandom thoughts:Why is the metropolitan judge entertaining such cases?
How is a warrant issued without any notice to appear being served?
Can this be brought to the attention of the Chief Justice?
Is this matter suitable for a PIL?
Involve a NGO?
No judgement on the Loan. Thinking about the process of law.

April 14, 2025 at 3:54 amDon’t go. Say you are busy. After a few days of dilly daling ask for a copy of the complaint. This is an NC offence. No arrest.
Also ask for medical records. What is the problem? Why is the surgery required? What is the connection with you?
In the meantime get the insurance. The fine for driving without insurance is Rs 2000. Don’t bribe, if they ask for money, ask why? if the police say anything more, ask them to make a challan.

The rest depends on Travel insurance.
Don’t your trousers have that old fashioned thingy, chor pocket?

April 10, 2025 at 9:51 amThe girl had the guts to open up to her mother about you, In a conservative Indian family. Do you appreciate how difficult that is?Depends a lot on the strength of your feelings for each other. Do you want to spend the rest of your life with her?
The two of you will have to involve your families, if you need time, before you get married. Otherwise just get married, now.
If the commitment is not strong enough, then cut it right now and walk away.

April 8, 2025 at 10:04 amThe law is on paper. In theory he should get hefty compensation. In reality his family will be lucky to get a few thousands. You can go to the police station and try to find out from them. How have they registered the accident and try to get a copy.
In reality you will need an NGO or a Lawyer who knows how to deal with such issues, under which law compensation is available? And of course you will need the family whose approval will be required for any paperwork.
You have to be quick. The contractor might have already settled with the family….

April 2, 2025 at 3:43 amIf he is being detained then they have to file a case. If they are not filing a case then they probably took some interest in the matter based on the owners complaint. Either way detaining him is wrong.Get a lawyer, give a written complaint and take acknowledgement or get more people involved.

April 1, 2025 at 1:02 pmSince it is a cash deposit, you are legally entitled to keep it. Does the cash deposit machine issue an acknowledgement slip? You could ask for a copy of it as proof. There is no legal issue here. You can keep it or return it. A simple affidavit ought to be enough. If you want to return the money.
As for the phone number. The bank/branch has given it to him.

April 1, 2025 at 6:39 amAs the owner of the car you can be liable. Also if you are in the car with a drunk driver and there is an accident resulting in death of another person, then “all those who travelled along with him/her can also be prosecuted for the offence of culpable homicide not amounting to murder, since they would become abettors of the offence, the Madras High Court has held.” 2022March 10, 2025 at 4:00 am in reply to: is there anything i can do against my aunt for making my dad kill himself? #38590CCoolknight1377

March 10, 2025 at 4:00 amGet rid of the dogs. Call SPCA or some such organisations. Lodge a police complaint against her for cruelty to animals. There are a few issues.
Who does the house belong to?
Who is it mortgaged to? Who is paying the money?
What do you mean, supposed to be inherited?
Is there a will or any legal document?
There are multiple laws for animals. Under section 11, Prevention of cruelty to animals act. 1960. Fine for killing a stray dog is Rs 10 to Rs 50.
Are the dogs licenced or registered on Municipal records.
Lots of things to think about….

March 3, 2025 at 6:55 pmBlock the cheque. In fact block the account for all debits.Did you put a date on the cheque? If there is a date. Then the cheque is valid only for 3 months.
For amounts over 50k, you have to inform the bank that a cheque has been issued. This is PPS. Positive pay system.
Even if the cheque is signed, you can still say you lost it. If you make a story like that, think it through. When you are questioned by the cops you should be able to stick to it.
Get a transaction statement from the bank. Which all transactions have happened in the account.
If anybody threatens you about the cheque bouncing, laugh in their face. It takes a long long time for such cases to see the day in court.
Further, even if you issue a cheque and then block it. If the other party tries to use the cheque and file a case, they still need to prove that you owe them money. So find out what all transactions have happened in your account first.
Anyway tell the bank to block the cheque and say it is lost.

February 26, 2025 at 12:51 pmLook at the amount of money the parents spent on your education. Now add that Rs 4,825/- to it. Consider it a very cheap deal to learn a little bit about finance, banking and life.Rs 4,825 is a deal for lessons of life.
Ask yourself, What did I learn from this? Procrastination? Reading the TnC? Reading the literature (if any) when the card was delivered?
What you can do is change banks. Do not close your account. Convert it into a zero balance account and keep nothing in that account.
