April 25, 2025 at 11:19 am**-NAL-**Don’t have any legal advice. But while you’re at home, office or whatever pace that has reliable internet connection, turn on airplane mode and call using WhatsApp.
Block all his known nos. on WA.
Update status settings to “My contacts” and let them know to call you using WhatsApp.Alternatively you can: Open WhatsApp -> Settings -> Privacy -> Calls and select “Silence unknown callers”
Then setup voicemail on your phone telling to call you on WhatsApp.CCoolowl7566

April 22, 2025 at 8:08 pm**-NAL-**The ruling party protects rapists and murders, including those ranking lower than a cabinet minister, unless the negative publicity is too much to handle.
And you’re here wonder whether there’s even a chance that a cabinet minister will face any repercussion for you taking your own life?

April 21, 2025 at 2:20 am**-NAL-**My sincere condolences for your sister’s demise.
I don’t have any legal advice for your situation but a practical advice.
You mentioned you wanted your mother (you niece’s *nani*) wanted to keep the girl if if you want to keep your niece, only do so if you are ready and capable of supporting her till she completes her education and can support herself.

April 15, 2025 at 8:48 pmNo need.If a person is convicted of filing a false FIR, there will be public records.
The issue is our laws, legal system and judiciary’s attitude towards women enable false accusers to get away scot-free most of the times.

April 15, 2025 at 8:30 pmAsk him where he plans to set-up the meet.If it’s in or anywhere near the PS, follow my above comment.
Else, just ask your lawyer what kind of discussion is he even planning to have with the other party and then approach a reputed lawyer.CCoolowl7566

April 15, 2025 at 8:03 pm**Why the hell is your lawyer inviting you to police station when there is no role of police in a “non-cognizable” matter?!****Approach a good repute lawyer for consult. Don’t go to the police station.**
Law aside, since you know the SI is corrupt, what kind of discussion do you think they will have with you?
Some cheap lawyers make money from the opposite party by compromising their clients (especially when the opposite party doesn’t have any case)
* Ask your current lawyer what kind of discussion is he even planning or expecting to have with the other party and why the police need be involved in a non-cognizable matter.
* Demand a complete response, ask him to explain basics of the legality to you in short and then approach a good lawyer with the response.
* **Do this before much the meeting time (as early as possible) and only then tell him that that you can’t come to the police station. Not before.**CCoolowl7566

April 15, 2025 at 7:47 pmThe “**-NAL-**” means Not A Lawyer. But I have experience in dealing with legal matters. Also, I am currently suing some for defamation. So I know how difficult it is to sue someone even if they are in the wrong and you have all the proof.
Which is why they are trying to intimidate you.

April 14, 2025 at 12:03 pmIn comments, OP mention that the police man was understanding and said Kotak had done this to many others while showing other warrants from Calcutta court. If true, my guess is the Kolkata magistrate in on Kotak’s payroll.
