April 12, 2025 at 3:59 pmNo, it’s not necessary to send a legal notice before approaching consumer court. But sometimes issues get sorted at the notice level when the Noticee realises that they might get sued. The procedure is to just engage a lawyer and to apprise them with the detailed facts, who will then send a legal notice on his/her letterhead.DDesiknight9081

April 12, 2025 at 9:53 amDon’t completely agree with that. I guess each one has their own way of looking at a matter. It’s more about what you’re ready for.DDesiknight9081

April 12, 2025 at 7:00 amIt’s a little uncommon for the cops to refuse registration of FIR in cases of theft. Please be after them to register it, or try doing e-FIR. Worst case scenario, file an application under Section 156(3) requesting the court to direct the police to register it, but that comes a lot later.DDesiknight9081

April 12, 2025 at 6:35 amPlease know that there is a limitation period for almost every legal proceeding that you may intend to file. If you wish to sue the doctor for medical negligence before a consumer court, the limitation for that was two years from the date of alleged negligence.DDesiknight9081

April 11, 2025 at 9:00 pmHi. Delhi based lawyer here. File for anticipatory bail asap and file a quashing petition too. The chances of the latter getting quashed are bleak, but no reason to not take pro active steps if the said accused person isn’t involved.DDesiknight9081

April 11, 2025 at 7:44 pmThere was probably no one to guide you at all, so you just blindly followed what you thought was right. And honestly, there is no need to beat yourself up for it. It’s never too late, so may be this is the right time to understand what you wish to pursue in law, and move towards it. I’m a lawyer as well, so please feel free to connect for any guidance that you may feel you require at any point of time. Will surely try my best to help too. Thanks. -
