The only way to ensure fairness is by making laws that are race/gender/religion neutral.

FUnfortunately for OP, he was also charged with IPC 188 according to another Reddit post.My understanding is that is why his case still needs to be disposed of by a magistrate.

FOBC is fine.In the case of SC/ST community the SC/ST atrocities act can be misused to file cases.
Before anyone thinks it’s a hypothetical scenario, read below of a case in which the wife was SC/ST and Husband upper caste and the wife filed both 498A and SC/ST act on the husband.

FI know it’s a legal sub, but why don’t you reach out to transcript consultants ?They might have contacts in the University of Mumbai and might be able to get things done much quicker.
Most of them don’t ask for original documents either, they are fine with scanned copies.

Divorce might be delayed by nearly 5 to 6 years in India if a man files it, but you would definitely get it.
Start collecting proofs of her abusive behavior and get in touch with both SIFF and a good divorce lawyer.
