Unless you are stupid and greedy both OR a senior citizen who is not aware of cyber frauds, such scams don’t work on you.

Ofc we all should be skeptical – especially of the posts that omit many details and go on fear mongering

Simply gather enough proof for yr own divorce, and try to get yr dowry back. As for the groomed girl, let other ppl around her who might be her well-wishers know about what happened – after yr divorce is secured. Just mention it and leave

Arrange for it fr elsewhere – relatives, neighbors, social charity groups, bank loan etc. you are just 17. You’ll need to arrange the fee and other related expenses for next few years. Also look into part-time jobs. When you talk to ppl in yr circle, let them know about this without anger/bitterness towards yr father bcoz that is not acceptable in our society: *my family is not able to provide for my education. I don’t know the reasons. Father knows. But I need financial help right now else my future is screwed* Ppl can figure out the truth for themselves

There is a big detail that ppl forget about police work. If a case goes to court, not only the victim but also the police staff who did the initial paperwork and legwork have to go to different courts for years if not for decades. That is the work they try their best to avoid. Unless there is pressure fr higher ups, they’ll try to make sure that they don’t have to do this work. Usually bribes are not as great an incentive as the leisure time. Kaamchors. And let’s not mention that the f**kingly slow f**king justice system

I don’t know what to say about family who hide medical problems of close family member in AM setting. It is dishonest and aimed to entangle you in a situation where they are counting on you to remain committed no matter what. You cannot expect sincerity fr this family

                Not a lawyer.

Unfortunately nepalis are not treated well on a large scale in India. A couple of months back a Nepali security guard of a hsg construction (slum redevelopment) project was murdered by workers living on the site in Mumbai. The whole thing was swept under the carpet. Why? Bcoz it would stall the project which is important for ppl who are looking forward to living there, bcoz these ppl are a big votebank, bcoz the builder although politically connected would have to file for bankruptcy if the case would be filed and the project stalled due to it. Politcal influence and apathy made sure that no case would be filed. I think it was deemed accidental or natural death.

I know personally that the murdered guy had already stopped one rape during a recent festival celebration when these workers were drunk and planning it loudly. Their voices were heard by many living close by
