IThink about this yourself, you go out protesting against a law or maybe a corrupt politician or officer who isn’t getting punishment but then the people in power direct the police to take action against you. The police using this system that you say arrest you and put you in jail.
Did you do anything wrong? No. Did you do anything unlawful? No. By the time your matter reaches anywhere. You’re done for. Would you like that?
You want some authority to check the incontrovertible proof against you? That’s the current system. Police investigate stuff, file the chargesheet, the court looks at it and then the case against you proceeds. Even then there are so many unlawful arrests. For years and years protestors are thrown into jails with no sight of a court hearing. And then you want police to have more power than they already do. You need to touch some grass. Get out there and see how broken the system is.
IUnfortunately it holds up really good. I had heard of a case where the wife claimed the husband’s family took dowry. So the husband’s side countered that if she is claiming dowry the court should procced with a case against her too. Because as per the dowry law, both taking and giving dowry is a crime. But they did not. The courts kept their focus singular at finding all the punishments they can stick up the husband’s arse.II’d suggest installing some cctv. Since you’re also providing renting facility, you can’t really control the tenants 24×7 If something happens you’d atleast be able to have some clue as to who entered or left the premises.Note the scooty number for now. If anything happens give it to the police and they’ll bring the owner in for enquiry.
For future, give tenants strict instructions about who can and cannot come and at what time. Prior information must be provided before bringing any outsider into the building.

Many organizations don’t hire you if you have an active case against you. All government jobs are no go. Passport making or renewal applications will face problems. Visa applications too. And maybe more things that I don’t know of 🙂
IAlways send a lawyer first or a relative who is not in fir, because you don’t know the officer’s intentions and he may end up arresting you or the family members. Keep that in mind.The police needs to send a official notice. Online communication like whatsapp or email not allowed now.

A judiciary that thinks it’s better to give custody of child to a immoral mother than the father or grandparents, you think they are gonna legalize homosexual marriages!
As much as we want to act otherwise, the country is plagued with conservative mindset.
