May 1, 2025 at 8:58 amThere have been cases where the court has allowed right to be forgotten. Rare not impossible.May 1, 2025 at 1:45 am in reply to: FIR from a minor accident now affects my job, showing up on Google with my name and address. What legal options do I have? #4834PPrimehawk33

May 1, 2025 at 1:45 amLawyer here. There is no other way except filing in the High Court. However itās not as easy as filing. For quashing the fir you will need documented proof that it was a medical issue. For the next part, the right to be forgotten, you will need again documented proof of how it is negatively impacting you at work. A mere mention of the same will not suffice. You can search āKerala high court right to be forgottenā to find the courts general stance, it is not in your favour. However, considering the unique situation where your accident was caused by a medical condition yet reported as drunk driving may help convince the court.PPrimehawk33

April 9, 2025 at 6:34 amDepends on the case, the lawyer and how much information was dispensed as consultation. If youāve got the info on what to do and how to move forward with your case, itās probably apt. What I do usually is to charge a consultation fee and then discount the consultation fee amount from the main fee.

March 28, 2025 at 5:04 pmYou can file a writ petition in the high court. There will be many lawyers who will be willing to take up the same, pro bono if fees are a problem. I donāt know of writing a letter to the CJ will net you a response even, Not sure.March 24, 2025 at 9:05 am in reply to: [Serious] In your experience (specially for divorce/HMA cases) what’s the difference between 1k/hr, 20k/hr and 80k/hr lawyer? #28740PPrimehawk33

March 24, 2025 at 9:05 amNope. Nothing to do with association or no of associates. Itās the face value, like, the degree of familiarity.March 24, 2025 at 8:24 am in reply to: [Serious] In your experience (specially for divorce/HMA cases) what’s the difference between 1k/hr, 20k/hr and 80k/hr lawyer? #28736PPrimehawk33

March 24, 2025 at 8:24 amFace value in court. If arguments raised by all three may be similar, but the more expensive lawyers will likely be heard better by the judges, if that makes sense.PPrimehawk33

March 24, 2025 at 8:19 amNot legal advice, thatās pretty much covered by the other comments. I think you should cut the leisure trip short and come back if you arenāt already doing so. Your gf would need support whichever legal tactic you both decide to adopt. Also, itās not easy to face this, itās harder to face this alone. Further, expect the other side to play dirty and you wonāt be surprised. The most likely defence that guy would take is that they engaged in a consensual act and then your gf regretted it halfway and started shouting. The door being unlocked etc will be used so.March 19, 2025 at 10:27 am in reply to: Kotak Bank Froze My Account Without Notice & Forcing Me to Close It ā Need Advice! #32254PPrimehawk33

March 15, 2025 at 12:34 pmWhen looking at law schools please check whether the course allows them to practise after passing. Several courses without age limit are not recognised and the students cannot enrol as advocates after. March 14, 2025 at 5:40 pmI will never say itās too late, however my 2 cents:1. Pick a field of law thatās close to the field heās worked in. It will be easier to set up a niche like that.
2. Pursue this career change only if he is financially stable and has enough money saved up.
3. Understand that courts donāt function as shown in tv.
4. If he has good command over English thatās an added advantage.
5. Learning under an established lawyer is good, there is no substitute for it, however considering the age, it may be best to unofficial partner with younger lawyers who are just setting up their independent practice. Eg: your niche is tax law and your āpartnerāsā is criminal law. You both trade cases (handle) according to your niche. If you look old enough thatās one advantage to young lawyers that money canāt buy. Itās easier to bill when there are older partners in the office, like clients mostly assume fee is directly proportional to age If that makes sense
6. Practise in the High Court. The learning curve is better.
7. Any more advice and Iād have to bill you. š¤£March 14, 2025 at 5:31 pm in reply to: Is it practical to become a lawyer after the age of 40? #35570PPrimehawk33

February 21, 2025 at 10:35 amThis is how tokens work. Cut your losses op, either stick with this place itself or hope they find someone by March. The owner here seems to be pretty considerate saying he will return the money if xx condition is met. Most people would just wave bye as you kept making noise š -
