You need to inform the company about demolition and ask them to disconnect the supply.

Go and visit the Adani electricity office and clear the confusion. Sitting tight on bills won’t help you in future.

You can file a consumer case against them provided you have all the documentary evidence. It’s a long drawn out battle but maybe it’s worth every penny.

Whenever a client comes for consultation they are well aware they will be charged some amount for consultation.

Now there is a standard consultation charge based on your to hour basis. So take advise for a minute or 60 minutes the charges are same

And whatever is on Google is a superficial advise or material. The applicability is way different then what is available on social media.

But indian public has this timid mentality and wants everything in lesser money and the OP is prime example of this.

Now what the lawyer charged and whether he informed prior is different but it’s time the public understands that even for a small advise we have to be cautious or else you the same people like OP tarnish our image in the society.

And no not all lawyers easily make truck loads of money the struggle is real and unknown

              A lawyer here…

Dowry is a punishable offence now in India. So just include that in your FIR along with the cruelty aspect and hopefully FIR will be registered. Just a heads up to save your chats and any email communication and also your expenses and if other things that you did for husband.

But brace yourself for a long battle. If the lawyer is really good then you won’t face much trouble. Just enquire about your lawyer in the city and get to know about his/her reputation. And be ready to amicably settle the issue.

Unfortunately there is no option or legal proceedings where you can safeguard yourself and your parents. What you can do is send her a legal notice communicating your decision for amicable divorce and documents everything happened till now. Keep the chats backup and whatever you have. Emails and bank statements and everything.

Consult a good lawyer please. Rest he/she will advise you.
