That is a tricky situation. Outside law, cops usually cozy up to the side of money or power. But since the amount involved is small, maybe you can find some luck.

Ask the lawyer to demand money back by sending a legal notice.

        Then focus on your interview.

This time will help in building up legal tension and also serve as a document that you gave ample time to him before moving to court.

        Atb for your interview. 👍

This is very straight forward case if he has proofs. Lawyer won’t be required. But the threat of court will force the opposing party to settle faster, than pleading for money before him.

Black badge protests in India hit nerves because they’re steeped in anti-establishment history (Simon Commission, anti-Rajaji movements). Authorities often see them as defiance, leading to crackdowns (IIT-Kharagpur notices, Telangana doctor suspensions). Colonial laws still criminalize black flags, and the color’s link to mourning adds fuel. It’s peaceful dissent vs. perceived rebellion.

Legally, the landlord can’t hold your deposit without a signed agreement. Send a legal notice first, then escalate to consumer court if needed. Gather all evidence (payment proof, messages) to strengthen your case. The lack of a contract works in your favor here. Don’t back down — the law is on your side.

You can. But if you are afraid of retaliation or bias you can approach higher ups. If still in doubt of bias, you can file your complaint at Police Complaint Authority (PCA) .

To know more what PCA is our how to complaint against police officer,

Can you file a complaint when the police harass you?

If you have a valid passport without any official revocation order or lookout notice, you can currently travel internationally despite the pending Show Cause Notice (SCN). However, there are critical risks. While travel is possible now, resolve the SCN promptly to avoid long-term issues. Consult a lawyer to expedite documentation or challenge the RPO’s decision. If no prohibition order exists, immigration is unlikely to stop you, but maintain proof of compliance efforts (e.g., RPO correspondence).

As a son, you hold a birthright to ancestral property under the Hindu Succession Act, 1956 (amended in 2005). This right cannot be revoked, even if your father abandoned the family.

Your father has full discretion to will self-acquired property to anyone. If he dies without a will (intestate), you are a Class I legal heir and entitled to an equal share alongside other heirs (mother, siblings).

If he created a will excluding you, you can challenge it in court only if you can prove undue influence, fraud, or lack of testamentary capacity.

Your mother may have claims for past maintenance under Section 144 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), which replaces the earlier Section 125 of the CrPC, but this is separate from property rights.

Exactly, these scumbags loose all power once you start not giving in to their hollow threats. They prey on people who do not know law or their legal right. Once you start following the legal escalation route, they come behind you begging for forgiveness with their tails between their legs.

They have to update the problem in verification in a given time frame now, they cannot delay it without any reason being cited, so track your application status for what is being cited. Do not pay bribe.

                        For escalation,

Contact the Superintendent of Police (SP) in your district. Provide your application details and the officer’s unresponsiveness.

Also, Register at pgportal.gov.in for central tracking.

File a written complaint at the local police station, citing the delay and lack of cooperation.(only if you want to go this route, in case of persistent non corporation)

All you can do is make them deliver you the gold at the price when you has purchased it first. Modify your case as per that.
