UPolice is right , this comes under cruelty , 498a is dowry harrasment , best course of action is to try for mutual divorce , be practical , otherwise it will drag for years , which is even worse , you will lose 2 years of your life in a blink of an eye , best thing convince her to agree for mutual and tell her to return gold / silver that she was given and gey rid of this marriageUit is acceptable , but you can call them out on this behaviour and set boundries , its personal choiceUpolice cant do anything, its his fault he bought from you !!!! to be on the safer side consult a good lawyer , Police most likely will not care if you approach themUhe is just bulfing , if you feel you need to do something , make sure your HR knows , the Police station knows and your parents know about the two things , your dad can’t do much , but since he is your father and he loves you in his own toxic way its your duty to keep the door open , he should eventually understand ….dont cut them out he will only spiral and suffer
