No owner should EVER agree to this – having a tenant without proper tenancy agreement. Indian laws are very tenant friendly and in case you have a bad tenant without an agreement it takes YEARS to evict by due legal proceedings.

Imagine the same scenario. With the guy being some other Ch***ya instead of said lawyer.
What would you have done then ?
The world is full of a-holes and we normally hope to not cross paths.
When we do , its best to keep our cool and assess the situation. best if it can be descalated.

Great that you have moved on..

Woh lawyer hai… he is in the court anyways.
If you sue him – you will be running around his workplace instead of being productive of your own.

Please move on. Trust me. Thats the best way.
It will be painful and lonely at first, but you will get over it (and Hinge will still be there when you do)

There are multiple things wrong here…
You are not looking to be in a LTR.. but were getting arm twisted into one.
            The family is NOT compatible.

As already mentioned, Prenups are not legally valid. And discussion on this topic with future partner jeopardizes trust.
In terms of personal asset, most people marrying early may not have significant. But family assets are also at risk from the fallout of a bad marriage.
Having a family trust with the core family members prior to marriage can be an option to explore in order to safeguard generational wealth. Please talk to a lawyer to explore this option.

You would need to declare your marital status before marriage.

But what if the woman was not a wonderful housewife but a real b*tch instead and never looked after her husband or in-laws ?
This is an unfortunate reality for many people.

Logically it should be the driver at fault.
just like If a sober driver causes an accident, it is the driver’s fault – not that of the passengers or owner.

But I think you don’t have a case. And its not necessarily POSH.

As many people already mentioned, the world is full of creeps. And if you are an attractive young woman, you need to be to learn to deal with them firmly by yourself as well and not have to run to HR or Police at every step.

I do not think he has said anything that can be construed as harassment. The 3rd comment is comment between him and other guys – AND also not specifically directed at you. Guys talk crap between each other ALL THE TIME.

The sajna comment is weird coz you dont know the guy. But its in the realm of regular banter between friends all the time.

Please read your companies POSH guidelines carefully.
Showing Interest and/or making an advance is NOT the same as Harassment.

If this or any other person tells you something that makes you uncomfortable, you should be able to professionally communicate :
“Sorry sir, but this discussion is making me uncomfortable and I prefer to not continue this any further”

This works 99% of the time. If it do not please report to HR indicating that you had verbally communicated your discomfort previously.

its not so simple brother… OP would have documents showing his address (aadhaar, bills, etc).. and in all likelihood so would the tenants…
cops do this stuff everyday… it will take them 5 mins. Of course, they will not solve the issue, but trap OP in new troubles.

It is not mentioned if they are staying on the strength of a tenancy agreement or not.
If they are staying based on a tenancy agreement and have bills in their name to the said address as evidence, then OP will be in definite trouble. If they are staying based on verbal agreement, etc, then its a different issue.

But even then cops will check with neighbors etc. who was living there. Every since housing society has individual who will disklike someone…

unfortunately no easy fix here. screwed either way.

Common areas of apartment buildings are not “public space” – they are common space for the residents. Not public space in the same sense as a public park.
