March 26, 2025 at 9:37 amand she is not a he and didn’t get robbed. My question is hypothetical and was intended to serve as a analogy that some situations increase risk of certain outcomes and it is somewhat in our responsibility and control to avoid/minimize risk of those situations.

March 26, 2025 at 2:01 amIf I were to ask this question… if it was a guy wearing thick gold chains and expensive watch etc walking around a rough neighborhood drunk…and he gets robbed of his stuff… Would you ascribe some amount of responsibility on this guy?ps: Robbery is a crime of course and obviously it is responsibility of our govt to cities safer, etc etc.

March 13, 2025 at 6:40 amCurrently the DV, 498A ecosystem as become a veritable cottage industry or sorts thanks to unscrupulous lawyers and corrupt cops.
It has practically become a SOP in any contested divorce.Laws and implementation should be made gender neutral.

If you have already made up your mind and are looking for a divorce.
It would not be easy if she does not consent.
That means if you cannot file under mutual consent, you need to file under specific grounds.
Alcoholism in itself will not be a ground, it would be under grounds such as cruelty.
So, regardless of what you eventually decide to do (after obviously taking good legal counsel) – its most important that you start documenting and gathering all sorts of evidence of unreasonable and cruel behaviour.UUrbannadia6400

March 13, 2025 at 1:44 amHow well do you know this person ? And how long are you friends?
Do you know where he lives ? Do you have common friends ? Do you know his family?Keep all the information regarding the money lent and chat etc as evidences.
Stay friendly and in close contact… do not get confrontational /adversarial…Seed stories of your money troubles every now and then and keep requesting to get it back….
ps: i am also looking for friends (:P :P)

March 10, 2025 at 1:37 amReposting a reddit learned advice – **if you fight with a pig both of you will get dirty and the pig will enjoy it.**
As you mentioned your neighbor are sh*t ppl. and from the sound of it they are unlikely to move (ergo they will stay your neighbor). No point in going down to their level and reward this behavior by responding.
Treat them as you would treat a stray dog. Put up a screen on that side of the Terrace that avoids them from spitting.

Its important that the rest of the family legally separates from the brother.
Please consult a lawyer, in my understanding there is some what to do this in order to better insulate yourself and the rest of the family from malicious financial and legal moves from your brother’s spouse.UUrbannadia6400

Just curious… were the kids indeed causing a disturbance ? Can other residents have reasonable expectation of not being subjected to a disturbance. Did the photos outrage the modesty or invade the privacy of the subjects in any way ? Certainly it was wrong to share in a group rather than make a complaint to the society, but before escalating it into a legal matter (which doesn’t help anyone – people forget that the petitioner/complainant also needs to run around the court system) it sometimes helps to take our own egos out of the equation and look at it from the other persons perspective.UUrbannadia6400
