They’re not targeting you OP, just as you wouldn’t park a car in a shed, don’t park a calf in a parking space. It’s more of a how to handle shared spaces thing.

Calling them out for their lack of sympathy will not make you reach your deadline.
The reason why people are wary to donate on reddit links is because
A. Most of these posts come with a lack of proper proof. Why would we donate when we don’t have proper information about where our money is going?
B. There has been an influx of fake donation posts which has induced a boy who cried wolf kind of situation.
I would suggest you provide ample documents incase you choose social media to get funds. Otherwise, in person drives are your next best option.
UNALAsk your friends who come across the profile to report it under catfishing, the app will suspend the acc and ban the user. Then maybe go ahead and try to find out who did it. If you have proper evidence, then approach college authorities.
