Yes you can do it without a lawyer .. mostly judge will ask you why u have no representation and refer you to legal aid ..
Since you mentioned you want it easy better to refer a lawyer because otherwise you have to learn the law and how to apply and make petition and procedure all by yourself..

Women get free legal aid in India. You can apply on http://www.nalsa.gov.in or go to the court complex in your city to Legal Services authority office for a pro bono lawyer. I would suggest do not wait to long because your father can misuse the funds.

Hello .. you should file for guardianship in the court since she is physically incapable and ask for control of her finances citing abuse by her husband. You could then put her in a good nursing home or hire a nurse plus household help to care for her with her money. If she has worked hard all her life she needs to spend her last years in comfort at least and you deserve to start your life too.

Hello .. please note that no court will order 2 crore alimony when your salary is 50 k per month .. they will order alimony as per your salary and net worth even of they do in the worst case scenario . Just stay strong and be calm and record whatever evidences you can. If she files false cases then fight it .. hire a lawyer and let your cases go on .. don’t ever settle out of court .. the mindset you need to have is you dont take these cases to heart and your mind and think of it as harassment. The minute you let it start affecting you .. u will lose it . So stay strong .. fake cases are fake ..
There is no way she will win them .. they are for putting pressure so dont succumb to pressure

Firstly narcissistic disorder or personality is a very misused word that is thrown out here and there without diagnosis . Basically selfish and self centred people who will do anything get their way. I would like to inform you that Narcissism is not a ground for divorce . Some particular instances could be cruelty in marriage which is a ground for divorce . Coming to your property .. if you have registered in her name very very hard to get it back .. you could show all financial transactions and say it was a benami property .. jewellery given to her will be her stridhan and she has her right over it . Since there are a number of issues .. speak to a lawyer in person to help you decide how you can protect each asset .

If you are already outside India don’t ever return . They can’t touch you .. they can harass your parents thought . But if you are in India and they have already filed an FIR against you and you have a criminal
Case pending against you .. you may not be able to get a visa ..

Commercial surrogacy is banned In India . That means you cannot pay someone to be your surrogate but altruistic surrogacy is allowed that is if someone is ready to do it out of love and affection for you .. without receiving monetary compensation for it .. only medical and insurance .. then yes . ( loopholes are always there ) for example a family member would step up for you or a friend etc .. you can also go out of the country and get a surrogate .. it’s absolutely legal .

Commercial Surrogacy got banned because too many poor women were being exploited by touts and there was no regularisation possible.

If you spent 25 lakhs as a boy I wonder how much the girls side spent . This is the parents fault entirely forcing people to marry for the sake of it . And women can’t even open their mouths and say anything and succumb to pressure which is so stupid in 2025 .
Anyways if you have not consummated the marriage then you have an option of annulling It on the grounds of fraud .. since you were fraudulently forced to marry her when she had someone else .. u weren’t given full info etc .. but u need to collect proof of it and do this before one year of marriage . Annulment me as u were never married at all ..

If you want the 25 k back then you have to negotiate it with the girls side with some kind of proofs to play the blame game and get an upper hand at negotiation

Hey sorry about all the judgemental replies here from watching too many stories on social media .. yes you will not need to pay alimony if adultery is proved in court . I mean not if you just accuse adultery .. it needs to be proved by evidences ..
then you will not have to pay alimony to wife . But you will still have to pay child support if she gets the custody. Please note this is for you are contesting divorce on grounds of adultery in court . If you are going for an out of court settlement and mutual divorce it all depends on how you want to go about it

Custody of child if very small will go to mother even if she has cheated. But if the kid is above 8-9 yrs and there is a chance the court will ask the kid if they want to stay with you or the mother and decide accordingly .

Most women find it very hard to come out of an abusive relationship .. mostly because she feels her parents won’t support her .. which in your sisters case is correct. Even after such treatment if parents want her to go back to her husband then I have no words . On top of it she went ahead and had a baby .. we wish today’s girls did better than this . You cannot help her . She has to help herself . One day she will .. just be there for her and support her ..

Better to take some trouble now than after marriage .. if they can threaten dowry now when there has no marriage taken place imagine what all false cases they can file after marriage .

Let them threaten you .. please deal with it .. if it comes to worse get a good lawyer .. you won’t be getting into much trouble cause there is nothing that has happened d

Hey thank god he cancelled now and don’t go through with it then your sister would have suffered .. if you have spent a lot of money on booking you can file a civil suit for refund if expenses and compensation for all the losses . There is a 2016 case where SC has directed the grooms side to refund costs of Roka and venue booking for wedding when a bride filed a cheating case .
