It’s not a big deal, 99% of bride side always shamelessly exercise this modus operandi ( ditching one groom & grabbing better one even at last moment ), because not only girl but thier entire family as a unit is on a mission to crack best possible deal in marriage market. So if this young man gave you taste of your own pill then it is not a crime, it is just tit for tat response.

Rule 1. Never beg to any criminal/abuser ( be it man/women ), they will just torture you more.

Rule 2. Always use money/power/contacts to inflict damage ( even in not so llegal ways ), let them have taste of their own pill.

Rule 3. Once a cheater, always a cheater so never trust them to stick to their own words/written agreements or mutual consent. They will always take u-turn to milk money.

Rule 4. Your lawyer is not your friend, he/she is a professional to make money from litigation, so he/she will never choose best remedy for you, instead he/she will choose best remedy for him/her ( for monetary benefits ).
