February 1, 2025 at 6:25 am>I donβt agree there.ΒLike I said, laws are much better there. Mainly because, courts follow logic instead of emotion. But, that is what I have heard from Americans over the internet (Reddit, Quora, YouTube, etc.) where they were discussing cases about how women misused the law to get divorced, with a bulk of alimony.
>I have yet to see a case where woman filed a fake case against husband in US and husband was jailed.
There will be a few instances where husband was jailed without cause. But, if the law finds out that woman was lying, there will be serious consequences for the woman. Forget America, in Singapore, a girl was made to pay Rs 1 lac and jailed for some years because she filed a fake case against her boyfriend. In India, a girl may not even get any punishment. Worst case, she was asked to pay Rs 1000/- as fine.
>Atleast thatβs what my reading, friends living abroad and personal talks with folks there have told me.
Yes. Your friends are correct. The laws for alimony there are fantastic, because they are logical. But, there were some talks from some sources that I heard.
And whatever it is, there is no stupid law in America that a child born out of wife’s affair will be a legal child of the husband. Also, there are no alimony for wife in case of affair. But, here our milords smoke pot when they take decisions.

February 1, 2025 at 6:02 amYes. It is good on paper. But, a lot of Americans have said that courts generally favour women 99% of the time. It is a lot better than India, but not as good either.February 1, 2025 at 5:58 am in reply to: I did some calculations on this billion dollar industry #62701UUser_4ba922dd

February 1, 2025 at 5:58 amNo. Divorce cases are bad even in USA. But, yes, they are at least better than India. Also, a lot of other laws are better there.January 31, 2025 at 11:56 am in reply to: I did some calculations on this billion dollar industry #62668UUser_4ba922dd

January 21, 2025 at 10:28 amAlso, killing an entire family is something that is worse than death. Because, it has multiple crimes.January 21, 2025 at 10:24 am in reply to: Why has the Kerala woman, Greeshma, been sentenced to death? #70277UUser_4ba922dd

January 21, 2025 at 10:24 amIn that case, I would want to kill you, and probably will, and will also want the court to do the same, but the court should not be expected to do the same.If the courts award death penalty for death, then, day is not far, when we will demand extremists like stone pelting tondeath, public hanging, skin ripping and so on. There is a reason why death penalty, all across the world (in developed countries at least) are not awarded easily.

January 21, 2025 at 10:19 amThere are things which can be done, that are worse than death. Death sentence should be reserved for cases like this.Awarding a death penalty is not something to be taken lightly.
In this case, lifelong imprisonment could have been done.

January 21, 2025 at 9:04 amI think Kerala followed a extremist rule. Although the crime was henious, death sentence is brutal and in this case, completely illegal. The court and the judge should be removed from power.UUser_4ba922dd

January 15, 2025 at 5:51 amIt is sad to see thebstate of judiciary in our country. Even though, on paper, things are getting good, but socially, it is not that easy to do business or a job in India. However, if you spend 1 day in a police station, you will be absolutely shocked to see what kinds of cases come in.
I know that police officers are corrupt. I myself went through a frustrating experience recently. But, that 1 day (a few hours of a day) taught me a lot on how much people’s sufferings are, along with the police.
Police officers do not have any sleep schedule. And they always have pressure from the top. The only reason why police officers are not treated with as much respect as the Indian army, is because of so many corruptions.
