        In house lawyer here.

        1. Your notice period starts the day you have officially submitted your resignation. Acceptance date is immaterial.

        2. You don’t need them to approve your resignation.

        3. You will get your fnf and relieving letter in due course.usually 45 days from your exit.

Be calm. Don’t give them any opportunity to fuck things up.

Ensure you communicate your last day to the team and others involved and proactively plan your handover.

Keep your manager in cc and let him know your plans.

Manager can act salty as team attrition is a matrix on which they are judged.

Eat 5 star and do nothing.

Also, don’t burn your bridges and even sarcastically thank that manager during your farewell.

        Kill him with kindness

Ofcourse. It’s an amount in her bank account. You have no claim over it.

And you have no remedy here.

You tried to evade tax and now have no recourse under law.

Next time don’t be penny wise pound foolish and pay the tax on your income.

              I am a lawyer.

In a NDA, the date of execution doesn’t matter.

The effect date of NDA matters. Which could be back dated. It’s called giving retrospective effect to a document.

Also, you don’t really need exit papers as a 15 day job is not going to count for much and it’s not something you would want to show on your resume either.

There will be no financial implications they merely want to ensure you don’t share any information with others.

              Also, it’s just paper formality.

Think of it as satisfying their ego.

People love creating issues out of nothing.

You joined a company and want to exit before getting confirmed.

Technically, you have not signed an appointment letter.

But in India Oral agreement are also binding. Plus you did work for a few days, asked to resign and got salary for 6 days. This is enough to prove employee employer relationship.

You asked to be relieved without serving notice and they are letting you go.

They also confirmed that they will no blacklist you or take any action. You should be grateful for that.

Now they are merely asking you to sign a NDA because in the 3 days of your service you must have learnt something about the company, their system/process.

What harm do you foresee if you sign such document?

Is their ask unfair? Or unreasonable? Definitely not.

Just sign the damn NDA and close the chapter.

                  Leak this information to media.

                  Let them pick this story.

Writing to CBSE or taking legal action won’t help as you don’t have time to wait for their resolution.

Ensure the fact that you are pregnant has been communicated to your employers and do document the fact that you are not willing voluntarily resign.

The company is free to take any actions they deem fit.

Consult a lawyer and get in touch with a recruiter for a new job.

Speaking as a POSH committee member

Committee doesn’t take any decision but merely recommends the course of action to be taken.

Company policy will triumph and if they have a zero tolerance policy it could lead to his exit.

You were at a workplace and it’s your employers duty to ensure you feel safe and it is their duty to ensure a favorable environment is created.

You could discuss this with your HR if you have some trust in them and know them to be fair.

If you don’t and you still want to make your discomfort known drop an email to the hotline/email id provided by the posh committee.

This will ensure atleast 1 external member is aware of the case and this gets discussed.

I haven’t dealt with a case to know how orgs actually treat an employee.

Do ascertain the company politics and hierarchy before you take the next steps.

Courts won’t and shouldn’t entertain such trivial cases.

                            No standard rate card.

Depends on the issue, time of the day, your rapport with the lawyer, urgency of the situation etc etc

I paid my friends brother 15k when I wanted him to visit the police station when there was a bailable arrest warrant issued against my erstwhile founder.

This was in Mumbai in Oct 2024.

Probation ending seldom results in salary negotiation.

It’s merely confirmation of your role.

Just approach ang lawyer you find in the court vicinity.

They will be the most cost efficient.

If you are okay to spend about 5k i can connect to you someone.

Why do you need to notarise that document?

An agreement on a 100 stamp paper should suffice.
