February 21, 2025 at 4:11 pmAs far as I’m aware of ckyc/RBl regulation on KYC AML doesn’t specify to identify/classify the individual based on religion and category.
If you could share the guidelines where the regulator specifies the banks need to collect these data points it would be of great help to me.February 21, 2025 at 8:55 am in reply to: Is it legal for the bank to ask about my religion and to which category I belong #50521WWiseguru1881

if no, leave the company and move ahead, no need to worry.
they can’t even justify the year’s salary to be paid, they wouldn’t even have started giving trainings to you. just take a chill pill,If you get a legal notice then respond to it with a help of a good lawyer

January 28, 2025 at 4:42 pmthis account had to be classified as NPA long ago, but as your grandfathers pension was getting credited the same has been adjusted towards the loan amount, now you can either change the pension getting credited to pnb account to some other bank account other than pnb, and make sure the loan goes bad, NPA (no interest/ principal served for 90 days) from 91st day bank classifies your loan as NPA and no interest can be accrued, your grandfather cibil takes a hit, if your father is co applicant then bank will come behind him, once loan is classified as NPA the recovery agents will come behind asking you to regularize the account by paying interest amount atleast, 3-4 months you start to get notices from the bank, keep saying that you will pay the loan amount, finally some recovery agent will say lets settle this account, bank will call you for settlement there you need to pay less than what you have availed, they might settle the account for 50%-60%
If you settling the account please note same will reflect in cibil records of the borrower, they might not be able to get loans in the futureWWiseguru1881

January 28, 2025 at 4:23 pmFor loans without collateral(personal loan, credit cards) you need not worry, just reply to the notice by sharing the death certificate ask them to close the account from their end.
even if the banker asks to pay the minimum amount even after death of a person, please take the same over an email, you can raise a complaint to banking ombudsman.Banks might try to ask you to pay from the amount that your father might get (Full and final settlement, leave balance encashment or any insurance amount to be paid, but don’t pay a dime.
Please take all the amount (any amount that he may receiver in the future FNF, PF etc) in the legal heir’s account and never in your father’s account, make sure no amount is credited to your father’s account, as bank would have marked lien.
If death is accidental then most of banks debit card and credit card would be having accidental insurance, you can claim those. please check with the bank as most of the ppl never look into details of the cards.
Even the salary account maintained by the bank have insurance for the person please check the same with the banks, -
