January 14, 2025 at 1:02 pmIf you are unable to afford a lawyer, then one will appointed by the Court. But you should appear before the Court and tell them you are unable to afford one. Alternatively, you can approach the relevant High Court’s Legal Services Authority. They will give you free legal advice and free representation before a Court of Law.It is your legal right to appear before a Court of Law through an Advocate.
The fee of a “mid level” lawyer will depend on that “mid level” lawyer and the High Court he practices at. In States like Delhi and Bombay, even a lawyer with mid level experience can charge anywhere from 7-20k per appearance. It all depends on the practitioner.

January 14, 2025 at 12:47 pmFirstly, the Consumer Portal is pretty much useless. You can however use their response against them before the Consumer Forum. I would advise you to immediately port your number if that is possible. Jio is usually the fastest and you can port your number the very same day. This will stop further charges on your postpaid account. After that, issue a Letter or a Legal Notice to Airtel. If you want your money back, then you will have to approach the Consumer Court or a Civil Court.

January 14, 2025 at 12:42 pmYou can contact a lawyer in Delhi. The area will probably come under the jurisdiction of the Pandav Nagar Police station. With the right lawyer, you can get your phone back quite easily.BBrightowl5321

January 14, 2025 at 12:01 pmLawyer here. You can approach a lawyer and ask him to issue a legal notice to Airtel. If they still do not back down, file a Consumer Complaint. You will get your money back along with compensation.
Also, these online portals are more or less useless. Noting will happen unless you file a Consumer Complaint against them. When you file your Compliant, there is a 90% chance Airtel will settle. (It is possible that the case may be settled by simply issuing notice as well). These cases are not worth engaging a lawyer for them. They will have to spend a significant amount to defend themselves.

January 14, 2025 at 11:52 amSince your entire case revolves around civil issues, I would recommend going to a Civil Lawyer. However, choose your lawyer carefully, and try to find someone who knows about these issues. Civil Suits involving these issues are not that easy and finding good lawyers is also difficult.January 14, 2025 at 11:10 am in reply to: Non compete clause in appointment letter and Salary not paid from last 2 months. #74639BBrightowl5321

January 14, 2025 at 11:10 amYou respond through a lawyer. That is usually the best way out. It is possible that you may not understand each allegation contained in the notice. So consulting a lawyer is important. You you do not need to be so worries. These problems are being created by idiot HR Managers who are ignorant and lack awareness about basic laws.

January 14, 2025 at 10:59 amLawyer here.I have faced an identical situation once before (that also involved a software company). Your strategy should be to file Civil and Criminal Proceedings against him. You will have to file a suit for damages against this person for for the tort of deceit, infringement of your intellectual property, violation of the terms of the NDA, and the like. This is how you will recover the money you have lost and the harm that you have suffered.
Your criminal action will have to be focused on two things – dishonest misappropriation of property and criminal breach of trust. You will have to file Complaint cases (i.e., a private case). This will create pressure and force him to settle. If not, it will definitely make his life a little miserable. But you should not delay and approach a lawyer immediately and take legal action ASAP.

January 14, 2025 at 10:51 amLawyer here. You can initiate Civil and Criminal Proceedings. This is a classic case of cheating, which is a cognizable offence. If the police is reluctant to file an FIR , I would advise you to consult a lawyer. Depending on your jurisdiction, it is possible that the lawyer will be able to arrange a phone call from the police to the person who cheated you and you’ll get your money back. You can also file a civil suit for recovery of money and also for the tort of deceit (there may be even more remedies available to you).
The relief you seek will depend on where you stay and how good the law and order situation is in that area.

January 14, 2025 at 10:42 amLawyer from Delhi here.I would advise you to engage a Lawyer and file appropriate proceedings under the Maintenance & Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizen Act, 2007 (Senior Citizen’s Act) before the Deputy Commissioner/District Magistrate who is the relevant authority under the Act. In 2022, the State of Delhi amended the Statute to allow eviction of children if certain conditions (as as yours) exist. The proceedings are summary proceedings and therefore you will get relief without much delay (in comparison to Civil Suit). Elder Abuse is a niche area of practice and most lawyers will advise you to simply file a suit for ejectment before a Civil Court. However, the Senior Citizen’s Act bars the jurisdiction of Civil Courts. So this is your only way to get relief (apart from Criminal Action, which you should also commence after consulting your Lawyer).

January 14, 2025 at 10:21 amLawyer here.Non-Compete Clauses are not legally enforceable. They cannot do anything. You can work for any employer you want. The most they would do send a Legal Notice to you. Of course, nothing stops them from filing a frivolous suit against you. But I will not be worried if I were you.
