      1. File an FIR asap
      2. Get an advocate to recover the money
      3. Reach out to your clients whom he scammed
      4. Salvage those clients as much as you can.
      5. Tell them what happened and try to work out a solution.

          >Here he basically gifted her the property and she’s free to do whatever she wants to do with it.

Source of funds for the property?

In India, the process is the punishment. The moment a property is tied up in litigation, it’s value crashes!

Get an Advocate and he’ll be able to guide you.

Personal opinion – Let this slide. Else, it’s going to become an emotional & financially draining experience for you.

              >the doctor said he doesn’t treat without single/ double occupancy

Not sure about the insurance company, but the doctor definitely scammed you! They can make no such demands!

Step 1 – Start looking for a new job (This will give you an upper hand late on)

Step 2 – Under no circumstance should you sign an NDA & an NRA without even knowing the allegations

If the HR insists, put your foot down on this issue.

At no point should you lose your cool, behave rudely or erratically. This is key!

                Possible outcomes –

                1. HR shares the context/ complaint. You can then involve your advocate. But make sure you NEVER tell your HR about this in the initial stages

                2. They back down

                3. They use the unwillingness to sign NDA/NRA as an excuse to terminate you. This then gives your advocate a nice opportunity to make them pay for unfair termination.

Since you’re already looking for a new job, you’ll land on your feet.

The world is filled with a**holes. Learn to keep them in check!

Take the L & move on! Never get romantically involved, or even think of getting romantically involved at a workplace. It always backfires!

Need more context like – What did she do with the money?

                    Options –

                    1. You can challenge the sale citing that she was mentally incompetent.
                    2. Drag it to court – Challenge that she had no source of income& your father purchased the property with his money ( better have proof for this)
                    3. If the above 2 are not feasible, take the hit & move on! Cut off all contact with her.

                          For that you need –

                          1. Dashcam footage.
                          2. A good advocate

A good advocate can always argue that you panicked and hit the accelerator.

It’s not like the criminal is going to lodge a complaint against you!

I’ve corrected my initial comment. You RWA can’t do shit if you’re following the law.

My bad! Law of the land prevails in this case! The RWA cannot make random demands just because they feel like.

Use lawfare if you have to! Most of these clowns back down the minute they realise you are looking for a fight!

Law of the land supercedes RWA rules. If the house is being built based on approved plans by the relevant local authority, send the RWA a legal notice & specifically ask them for a large compensation for money lost due to delayed construction schedule.

Most RWA’s are run by old farts with nothing better to do. Respond forcefully and they’ll cave.
