January 22, 2025 at 11:21 amSo your money was withheld by a developer & when you went to file a complaint, the developer involved the cops to threaten you?Don’t deter victims from filing a complaint because you had a tangential bad experience!

January 21, 2025 at 2:52 pmThere is no crime being committed by you. You don’t need to be afraid of these imbeciles. File a written complaint detailing your ordeal and submit it to the local police station asking them to take action. If you don’t want to go to the police station, get an advocate who will do this for youCCleverdiksha5363

January 21, 2025 at 2:41 pmYou won’t! The reason why they kept bullying you was they knew you won’t react.File the FIR and then wait for the other party to come to you for a compromise. If you haven’t done anything wrong, you shouldn’t be afraid to take them to task.
Also,.I have a strong suspicion that the supposed call from the SHO was fake. It would most likely be made by someone pretending to be a cop (which itself is a crime)

January 21, 2025 at 11:33 amBetter you go to the local police station and file a written complaint. Specifically mention that you were called from multiple numbers with threats. If they asked you to pay back the money, include the term “extortion” in the complaint.CCleverdiksha5363

January 21, 2025 at 11:31 amThey are not supposed to take money without an agreement. I am assuming you paid by cheque/ transfer, if thats the case, file an FIR for fraud. Then forward that complaint to RERA.My advice is, get an advocate asap. He should help you recover your money + interest.

January 21, 2025 at 11:29 amVisit the local police station. Most of these low lives have a big mouth. But that’s it, just a big mouth. The minute you file a complaint, they’ll be begging you to compromise. Use that as a lever to recover damages, the more the better.Unless they feel the pinch, they won’t stop!

January 21, 2025 at 11:06 am>And we canβt go to the police because the builder is not helping usWhat is that supposed to mean?
If you want to recover your money, file an FIR against the builder for cheating asap! Don’t expect the world to help you out if you can’t even take basic action!

If the calls continue, file an FIR with the recordings as proof.

January 11, 2025 at 5:13 pmThere are laws against voyeurism under the IT act. Right now, it seems he’s not expecting you to escalate the situation. Get an advocate and send him a legal notice. That should shut him up pretty quick. -
