That is very disturbing to know. Does she have a mother to protect her? A police complaint will be helpful but if she is scared and cannot leave immediately, I really hope she finds the courage to take a coercive step against him. There might be multiple ways to protect the little girl but if she has to live with him, she will have to find some grit to fight back as the abusive father may try to seek revenge in multiple ways. He may pull back on supporting her financially. Not saying she should take the abuse at any cost. The father deserves the worst punishment. She can surely file a police complaint against the father and also a domestic violence complaint against him as she falls within the ambit of ‘aggrieved person’ under the Act.

Your case summary from the previous doctor. Findings of the new doc and probably another opinion on it, to begin with.

Hi. I’m a lawyer here. I think it’s best that you first take care of your finger and ensure that it’s cured well. After that, you can surely sue them under the Consumer Protection Act, if you have enough evidence in favour of what you’re asserting.

About the affair, obviously he won’t concede. Beat him at his own game, at the stage of trial. What stage is the matter at?

I understand your trauma, which is why its advisable to have a very strategic and balanced approach in the matter from time to time and to pursue it accordingly, to ensure the welfare of the child, more than anything else.

Should absolutely press for that for a more secure future, but in line with strategy and law.

Absolutely. He cannot wriggle out of that at all. But since both parties are earning, the quantum of maintenance comes into play, so after considering all factors mentioned above in addition to more, a holistic view is taken by courts as to whether a lumpsum amount can be granted.

Hi. I am a Delhi based lawyer, with an extensive experience in matrimonial matters. The maintenance sought/granted (lumpsum or monthly) is directly related to certain factors, the income of both parties being the first and foremost. However, consensually, there is no limit to give/take. Is your husband financially sound enough to grant a lumpsum amount? What are your basic expenses that have to be met to lead a respectable lifestyle, also in consonance with what you were leading when you were not in separation? What are the liabilities and dependence both sides? And there are certain other factors that would ascertain the possibilities of getting what you’re seeking, if not consensually granted by your husband.

There are a lot of judgments pending on legality of e-pharmacies. The law is evolving, so pls keep yourself updated on that too.

Hi. I’m a lawyer here. Yes you have to wait for a year after the marriage is solemnised, prior to filing for divorce, barring grave circumstances. You also have to be living separately for one year prior to filing the divorce petition.

Hi. I’m a Delhi based lawyer, with an extensive experience in matrimonial matters. If you go for mutual divorce, the terms of settlement clearly state that all the disputes and differences between the parties have been fully and finally settled. It also states that nothing shall be now due from either party to the other on any account and that neither party shall file against the other, or against their family, any case or complaint in relation to events arising out of their matrimonial life. So the mutual divorce is subject to that understanding. However, you need to live apart for a period of one year.

Hi. I’m a Delhi based lawyer. Any legal action that you will take will monetarily far exceed the INR 1000/- you unhappily paid for the new key. Plus your time and energy. If you’re ready for that, then you surely must. Else just let it go, or write to their higher management asking them to resolve your grievance/justify your query.

As a lawyer, I would say that every Advocate has their own fee schedule, which is based on certain factors, which are best unquestioned. You’ll find another Advocate doing the same job for lesser, which in no manner makes anyone better or worse. It’s upto you to compare and analyse who is best suited for your matter in the larger scheme of things and decide accordingly.

Not directly. You’ll have to mould it that way.
