April 27, 2025 at 3:14 amHi. I’m a Delhi based lawyer, with extensive experience in matrimonial matters. Divorce cannot be filed unless you complete one year of marriage, also including year of living separately, unless ofcourse there are very pressing circumstances. You can file for annulment though, if you can satisfy the grounds.DDesiknight9081

April 26, 2025 at 4:36 amPolicies apply when there is no deficiency in service. Not otherwise. It’s a two way street. What they’re doing is called ‘misleading advertisement’ under the Consumer Protection Act. Tell them this and see what they come back with. Keep a snapshot of the order reflecting the original freebie.DDesiknight9081

April 26, 2025 at 4:07 amHi. I’m a lawyer here. Just let them know that you’re contemplating legal action for unfair trade practice and deficiency in service, which will have them pay a lot more than this. So either they fix their inadequacies and do the needful, or else be prepared to face action, besides the fact that you will be posting a terrible feedback everywhere. That might set them straight.DDesiknight9081

April 26, 2025 at 4:01 amHi. I’m a lawyer here. Try getting a new person on board possible and get your money refunded, because the reliability factor seems to be zero here. And do you retain him, try signing a written contract with him, that makes him feel bound. What you have with him is still an oral contract but it’s hard to prove in case there is a legal dispute.April 26, 2025 at 2:33 am in reply to: NEED LEGAL ADVICE! April 26, 2025 at 2:33 amHi. I’m a lawyer here. Even if the clause on making changes to the contract on which they’re relying is assumed to be fair and binding, it doesn’t entitle your company to change the terms and conditions at their whims and fancies, solely to their advantage. Had they notified you about it during the course of your employment, it was still understandable, however, after you have served notice, and after a liability has arisen because they are relieving you early, they cannot wriggle out of the contract by relying on the said clause which says that they can change the contract anytime. Try reasoning it out with them, failing which, you must contemplate legal action, at an opportune moment. -
