its a hassle for the victim to go through legal process. for your friend no lawyer is needed as the insurnace company of the car will fight the case on your behalf

nothing will happen. its called accident for a reason. its a civil case. You should never offer any money because a case can get filed irrespective of the fact that you paid the victim. even if police told you to pay, and you paid, the victim still can file a case.

If you get a room mate you dont need to leave in May. You can continue to live there. Why dont you post in flat and flatmates group in facebook immediately. I am sure you wont have any difficulty in getting a room mate in Mumbai

Damn. I was reading this from Dubai thinking this was dubai sub. mis-read SBI as SIB here. And thought who had the balls to slap another person inside a bank here.

Then i read legal advice india.

Take that slap and go home buddy. dont waste your time for anything else. You go to police and they will take some cash from you promising action.
