March 23, 2025 at 3:09 pmI once saw someone using the DV Act to make her father pay the fees of her college. Since it was 2019, I don’t exactly remember what arguments they used but the protection officer or magistrate directed the bank where her father had an account to freeze the sum of fees. Not sure of the exact facts of the case though.March 21, 2025 at 7:26 pm in reply to: My Brother is Facing Severe Ragging at BCKV – Need Advice #30457FFiercenirav8757

March 21, 2025 at 7:26 pmFile an anonymous complaint to ugc. Just mention name of seniors and UGC will do the rest. Ragging complaints are taken very seriously and these seniors will surely get a FIR registered against them.FFiercenirav8757

March 8, 2025 at 3:29 pmWhat papers have been signed? Getting custody of the kid is a very nuanced thing and depends on a lot of factors. If her second marriage is proper and she is just not living in a live-in with that man, and in that NZ court she filed that she is not married. Then in Indian Court use this as well to make your case strong.
Though given the facts the father should be able to get the kid’s custody, it will depend on a lot of factors. And practically speaking, by the time a decision will come regarding the custody of the kid, the kid would have crossed the age of 18 and the case will become infructuous.

March 8, 2025 at 3:11 pmGet a good family lawyer, file for divorce in India and file and FIR for bigamy. Stop paying maintenance to kid, and stop appearing before courts in New Zealand (given the Husband in Indian and primarily resides in India). But getting a good lawyer is important.FFiercenirav8757

March 6, 2025 at 6:47 pmIf you resign, you will serve the notice period or will be buying that out unless the company wants to relieve you earlier. In case they fire you, then also they will give you minimum notice, usually 30 days or equivalent pay, before relieving you.You can’t take any action till the time they are paying you and giving you a reason to terminate your services regardless of how absurd the reason is.

February 25, 2025 at 4:45 pmAI is not that good. I am using one of the finest legal AI, Harvey, and trust me, it’s still not anywhere close to replacing a lawyer. If you want to summarise something, find something, it works, but where there is interpretation and application of law, or something unique, AI fails miserably. In such tasks, AI is worse than a law intern.FFiercenirav8757

February 20, 2025 at 6:57 pmYou don’t need a lawyer straight away but it depends on how the situation unfolds. Tell the lender straight away that you can’t pay the complete amount, negotiate hard with them, trust me even they would want to settle it outside. See what they say and then decide accordingly.Take it easy, everything will be fine.

February 20, 2025 at 6:14 pmGet a lawyer. Section 138 matters can get nasty anytime. Try to settle it outside, just reach out to the lender and tell them you are willing to pay. Also, since hero fincorp is IPO bound they would love to reduce cases in their litigation section of the prospectus.

February 18, 2025 at 7:55 pmHmm. Did you enter into any contract with the sub-contractor? I guess, No. Did the contract with the local contractor explicitly mention that if they outsource something they will not be responsible? I guess, No.In your case, logically and presumably, a task was given to the local contractor. If the task is incomplete, whom would you sue? The local contractor. You have got nothing to do with the sub-contractor in India. And don’t involve indian jurisdiction in all this, as Indian jurisdiction is quite slow as compared to Singapore.
