A medical procedure gone wrong is not a ground to take legal action against a doctor. To pursue legal action against a medical professional, it is imperative to establish a compelling case of medical negligence. This entails demonstrating that the doctor’s actions deviated significantly from the standard of care expected from the doctor. In most cases, even when there is some degree of fault attributable to the doctor, courts generally favor them unless the fault is entirely their own.

File a complaint to the magistrate’s court. If that also does not work, file a Writ Petition in High Court.

Send a legal notice to the Company. Apart from providing the relieving letter etc., even if your company decides to terminate your employment prior to expiry of the notice period, they are still obligated to compensate you for the entire duration of the notice period.

Please report this to the police ASAP. In India sexual offences against children is covered by Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 which is a very strict legislation meant for welfare and protection of children. Also, this act imposes strict liability on people who are aware of commission of any offence punishable under the Act to report it immediately. If you don’t report it and it comes to light later even you may face upto 6 months prison time and fine.

You can report it either to the special juvenile police unit or directly to the local police.

Relax… Police will not serve summons on whatsapp. This is a scam. Ignore it.

Your name is what you have put in birth certificate and other documents.. Problem will only arise if you decide to change it in your passport application.

File police complaint… the law already is that the victims identity in rape case is not revealed. But if you want to take legal action you should do so immediately as in a rape case the girl would have to be medically examined. Delaying will make it harder to prove your case.

Try contacting customer support on the app first. If that does not work you can try filing consumer complaint.

File a consumer case on the district consumer forum website.. the process is online and relatively easy… since the amount is not high I would not recommend hiring a lawyer but it is ok to go for a one time consultation…

Also side by side post on social media and tag them to create pressure…

If what you are saying about them covering up past incidents is true then the reason for it not coming to light or them getting away with it may simply be from the fact that no other student thought of reporting the incidents to the police or other concerned authorities. It is a very common mindset to hope that someone else takes action and fixes the issues but harsh reality is that there rarely are heroes in real life. If you want them to be accountable then you need to stand up to them.

What your wife is entitled to on divorce is maintenance and not a share in your property. In case of divorce you will be expected to provide enough to let your wife continue with her life as it is… for example if her normal monthly expense was 10k rs you would need to give 10k.. but if you are super rich and normally she buys clothes worth lakhs of rupees then on divorce you would be required to give maintenance based on that standard i.e. allowing her to continue with same lifestyle..

If you want to join any good / big company, it is likely that they will do a background check which includes checking for past criminal records. You can check it on ncrc.gov.in website or your state police department will also be providing such services.

Any case registered against you will create a record which will be available for all to access. Most of the police / court papers are considered to be public documents with few exceptions and can be accessed by any person who knows how to get it.

It is a very common thing for developers to delay projects. If you have already paid the developer then wait for them to complete the project before escalating to legal remedies… in the meantime you can send email or letter pointing out all the issues so that there is some evidence in writing supporting your case. Please note that all developers are aware that there will be some delay or issues in their work even at the time of signing the contract but they are able to get away with it in most cases. This is due to people being afraid of taking legal action as it consumes time and resources.

On whether you should take legal action it depends on the facts of your case. You first need to quantify your claim based on the terms of your contract and determine whether it is monetarily worth it for you to pursue the case. Cost for litigation would be a one time court fees which depends on the amount you are claiming from other side. Apart from this the cost depends on the advocate you are choosing. Also keep in mind that a higher fees does not necessarily mean a better advocate.

Send them a legal notice first. If they still do not repay, you will have to file a suit.
