If you are a shareholder of the company, you can file a petition against the Indian company for oppression & mismanagement before NCLT.

Since the cases are against your father, his passing will result in the suits abating and being closed if legal heirs are not substituted. Even if the plaintiff seeks to implead you as legal heirs, you will not be personally liable for your father’s debts unless you have signed the document creating the debt. However, your father’s estate—and by extension, you to the extent of the estate—will remain liable.

Registering a complaint on the NCH website is a straightforward process. However, it is important to note that NCH does not have the authority to adjudicate disputes; it can only help facilitate amicable resolution.

First, send an email to Swiggy complaining about your issue with relevant details. If they don’t respond or resolve the issue, call the National Consumer Helpline (NCH) or register your complaint through the NCH website.

If this doesn’t resolve your issue, you may consider sending a legal notice. However, since the amount involved is just Rs. 800, it’s probably not worth the time and effort to pursue the matter in court.

If your parents are sick of your brother’s behavior, they can kick him out of the house since he’s an adult.

But don’t just assume that’s what they want to do. Even if he’s stealing money or drinking and smoking, most parents don’t usually take it that far. They might be annoyed or frustrated, but it’s not always enough for them to actually throw him out.

If you are worried about financial trouble, the talk to them directly and let them know your concerns. At the end of the day, it’s their house, their decision.

If you believe that your father has been falsely implicated in the CBI case and that the allegations lack merit or substance, you should approach the High Court to seek quashing of the case. In the meantime, it would be best to apply for anticipatory bail to protect from possible arrest.

If they canceled it a few days ago, why are you only bringing it up now? The holiday is tomorrow, and even if there were a legal remedy, you wouldn’t have enough time to pursue it. The best thing you can do at this point is to reach out to other employees who are unhappy with the management’s decision and collectively decide not to go to the office tomorrow as a sign of protest.

In India, there is not much that the copyright owner can do to penalize you for downloading or watching a pirated movie. Typically, legal actions are directed against the websites hosting the infringing content rather than individual users.

Yes. You will need a lawyer for it.

The first step is to stop accepting rent. If a landlord continues to accept rent after the expiry of the agreement, it is presumed that the tenancy has been extended.

Secondly, if your eviction suit has been dismissed, have you filed an appeal? Filing a new eviction suit without any change in circumstances would be futile, as it would be barred by the principle of res judicata.

There is no legal concept of ā€œdisowningā€ one’s parents. If you are an adult and wish to sever ties with your parents, you may consider changing place of residence, your name and executing a deed of release. This deed would state that you relinquish any claim to your parents’ property or inheritance. However, it is important to note that such a deed does not legally terminate the parent-child relationship, but it may serve as a formal declaration of your intention to distance yourself and waive your rights to their estate.
