Ideally, account should have been something the uni/ professors have some control over too. Since it’s a personal account, your only option is to convince this guy. Hopefully the uni and professors will help you out.

Practically speaking, before all that, consider going back to the brochure of the event. Having been a part of organising college events myself, there’s generally one or more professors who are in charge of the committee running these events, even if they don’t actively participate in organising. Contact them directly, or contact the university office, and let them know what happened and that xyz student has stopped responding to your requests. Ask them to help you with it. Make sure you detail everything in writing as well. Hope the UPI amount was paid to some official account and not to the student’s personal account. Include transaction details.

Community service has been included for petty and small first time offences under the new criminal laws. Not sure how well it’s going to be implemented though. But could have been brought about before, yes

Put the resignation in writing, maybe via email. It’s not something he has to approve. The notice period etc will depend on the details in her employment contract, so have her recheck that and follow that. If the clause you’re relying on exists there, ask her to approach HR and settle it.

First of all, prioritise your sister’s safety. If there’s anywhere she can stay with her son for now while you figure out the rest, do it. If he’s physically abusive, nothing stopping him from getting worse, especially when there’s no push back. Take pictures of any wounds/ bruises, get it examined by a doctor and make sure you have a medical record of it.

Why not file under the DV Act then? If there’s evidence, make sure to have copies with yourself and other trusted people. Help move out and away from the abuser before filing a complaint. Contact a good lawyer near you

Yes, why I said use that as the last resort. You can of course call the police for nuisance, but the way cops usually are, not sure if you’ll get much help and it might only make things more tense. Love the other idea someone mentioned about returning their favour in kind. When they do this, open your door and play songs you want on full volume as well. Their logic of the speaker being on their premises should apply to you too

Before going that route, maybe speak to your society management about it. It’s unreasonable they keep the door open and play it at full volume, so these things can easily be adjusted if they’re willing to, well, just not be unreasonable. Maybe having other members intervene first is a better solution, but you know more about that.

Not sure what the situation is, but to be clear, you mean if something untoward were happen to you for some reason, this person should be investigated? If you have any specific reason/ evidence for it, share it with trusted people who will be able to take care of it. Although if your life is in danger, get help. File a complaint if you have enough evidence for the threat. If someone’s harrassing/ stalking you, try for a injunction. Stay safe.

You’re probably worrying about it too much. It’s also possible that she deleted the messages because her father feels that way about these things going out of the house and figured it won’t go further if she deletes it. Or maybe she was embarrassed.

From what you said, they might not want to make a bigger deal about this and have more people know, but in case it does come to what you say, your one sided messages would hopefully seem to give at least some context. Where necessary, deleted messages that were delivered could be recovered, especially in criminal matters. And the call records should also reflect that she contacted you first. There also might be some cameras that would show her father dropping her and picking her up.
