You will not be held liable for abetment to suicide. There are Supreme Court judgements to that effect.

          Serve him a legal notice.

          He’ll stop disturbing you.

The guy will be in jail in no time.

If you’re concerned about her identity becoming public, directly approach the magistrate and move an application for keeping her information private. The police will be forced to act accordingly and you’d have nothing to worry about.

It’s a classic case of deficiency of service.

In my experience as a lawyer the most effective remedies are –

              1. Lodge a complaint on the National consumer helpline.
              2. Serve them a legal notice.
              3. File a case before the consumer court.

You have a strong case and you should pursue it.

Gather proof of intimidation or harrasment and approach the magistrate directly.

High unlikely that the police would take serious action unless you’ve got good connections.

Atleast this is what I’d recommend my clients to do.

There are several laws to prevent relocation/dislocation of stray dogs in India. The only effective recourse that you can take is to contact MCD and urge them to conduct a vaccination or sterilization drive. You can also file a petition before the Court if they refuse to act. Fortunately/Unfortunately dislocation is illegal.

You can try your luck and see if any NGO is willing to legally adopt the stray dog.

The only issue is that police might arrest your brother if an FIR has already been registered.
You will have to be extremely careful with this.
There is a strong likelihood that it has been registered and they’re looking to simply arrest.

Where do you put up? Jurisdiction will give a clearer picture.

                      1. Do not visit the police station in person.
                      2. If an Fir has been lodged move an application for anticipatory bail first.
                      3. Move an application for quashing of FIR thereafter.

In my personal experience this is the most effective remedy and this is how I’ve helped multiple clients.

There are more than enough remedies to avail. The first would be making a representation before the SP. Specially because women are also involved.

They are required to provide all these documents to you. In my personal experience as a lawyer most employers fall in line as soon as you send them a legal notice.

Happens quite often. You can directly approach the police or even the courts. Depends on where you’re living. I’ve personally witnessed clients get justice only when approaching the court directly.

Had dealt with a similar issue for a client. Lodge a complain on National consumer helpline. Serve them a legal notice if it doesn’t resolve the issue. File a consumer complaint if nothing else works out. Hope this helps.

In that case do not make blanket statements like “trials can only happen in trial courts”.

True. So Delhi, Bombay, Shimla, Madras and Calcutta can conduct trials.
