To what extent your mother is will to go. You need to know what she wants and what is she willing to do for that.
Someone here suggested to file multiple cases against your brother, maybe that’s the right thing to do if meditation and compromise aren’t possible.
But is she willing to go to such lengths.
There are 3 parties involved here, you, your brother and your mother. You should first think individually what is the bare minimum you want which you won’t let go.
Elderly parents are always confused and vulnerable. She could say yes to many things when talking to you but totally flip out after having a talk with your brother or seeing a policeman.
It is a big possibility, you might end up burning from both the ends.SMaybe he misbehaved with the police and the police officer just misused his power.I don’t know the truth about your friend, but I have observed that people in our society are loosing the ability of keeping a difficult discussion respectful.
Anyways, smoking in a public place is illegal.
SI guess the gorilla in the room is the tenant. The Tenant is refusing to vacate the property. This is giving the seller headaches and he is behaving rashly.SYou lived on a rent for 2 yrs….in some places there are unsaid agreements that tenants pay for the paint etc when they are vacating…Check if that’s the case…

SThe moment we bring a political party into a discussion, we risk the discussion turn into whataboutary.I could give you many examples of congress and allies being sympathetic towards terrorists and even withdrawing cases registered against them.

No sir.Instead Why do we not discuss why the govt should have the power to release a convict. Should it be reviewed and the condition of release be made more strict and more scrutiny be done.

All we do is react in a knee jerk manner, whine about India as a whole and go back to our lives.Getting emotionally overwhelmed, makes us hopeless and tired and hence we common people end up giving up very soon.
Keeping a hopeful outlook in the challenging times helps us go through it better and faster.SI just had a discussion about it with my wife who is a top psychologist. She said it’s very bad behaviour. Always giving a knee jerk reaction could be a symptom of several bad things, emotional instability, lack of responsibility, trauma, coping mechanisms, anger or just low iq.SIn another group i read a news about fathers raping their daughters in a country and sharing the video.It was a sick crime but not one person there sounded hopeless about their country as a whole.
Do we Indians really don’t know how to process a shocking and sad incident.
I notice that reactions like ” india is bad, nothing can be done” is always the default response from most of the people.
While it could give instant relief but it actually shows that we are not emotionally stable.
